Harman Singh Giving 6 out of 10 while comparing this movie with James Bond series.Positive/Negative: 1. Nice plot for the first part of this new series, but screenplay could have been more interested by only if roles of the actors had been picked up with the pace of the storyline, and I felt Rajat Sharma and Gulshan Grover were wasted with their lame roles, But anyhow "Taimoor Pasha" might be useful in their next sequel.2. Actors are nice but it could have been excellent. Saif needs to look more like a spy and not like a college going boy (only Dress-ups). Kareena was excellent so as Ram Kapoor and Adil Hussain.3. Item Girls are okay but not top of the line; only Malika Haydon was good but she has not shown enough like Bond gals. other wise that Russian gal was so so.4. Camero was used which was old and outdated for a spy movies when they have shown Bugatti Veyron in a Punjab video. 5. Neulcear bomb was like a playing machine it could have been like real nuclear weapon next time try GOGGLE for this thing6. Action scenes were lame comparing with James Bond but far better than "Ek Tha tiger", "Rowdy Rathore", "Dabbang" or "Ready".---------------------------------------------------------------------Anyways there is a famous phase "Rome wasn't built in one day" Will see the next movie with more expectations.---------------------------------------------------------------------Note: this movie is not for those who like Rowdy Rathore Ready or bullshit.
Aryia Well, I wasn't really looking forward to see this film. I found the first 15 minutes boring, just a lot of booms and bangs, and no story. However, after this introduction the film does develop a story. A basic spy story, but a story that doesn't go haywire, that manages to keep your interest while not getting too complicated.I read here and there that some people found the story difficult to understand, that the scenes are random. What?!? Do these people have a neurological problem? The story is quite easy to follow. This film is good entertainment. It delivers in the way it's supposed too. I hate that some people didn't like the film and see nothing wrong in saying it's crap. I'm tired of seeing so much disrespect everywhere (not just for this film) from viewers. Argh! It's a basic, classic spy movie. From it you want action, a bit of suspense (not that much, we all know he's going to succeed in the end), characters with double (or more) identities, different locations, a touch of glamour, in one word: entertainment. Fun, light but not dumb entertainment. Agent Vinod delivers just that. There's no realistic/harsh action, no deep psychological drama, but these things are NOT supposed to be there. The movie delivers just what it aims to, it's coherent, well shot, has nice actors, nice music. For that I give it 8/10. It's good. Nothing extraordinary, it doesn't stand out, but it's good.
salman surti I don't understand why everyone seems to be criticizing this movie of being lengthy and boring!! well on a personal note, i absolutely loved it! It was more like an Indian (Desi) version of the Bourne series or even the James Bond! As far as acting is concerned, i believe the young nawab (Saif) has done a wonderful job and so has all the other characters. I see that lots of people are hating it due to the Pakistan (ISI) connection, which i do understand was indeed exaggerated. Also due to this the movie was banned in Pakistan. However, talking from a strict entertainer perspective, this is a complete package of everything. You get action, adventure, thrill, humor, and nonetheless Saif's and Kareena's light hearted love and hate relationship.I've rated the movie 9/10. Although i just wanted to give it 7, but since i wanna appreciate such cinema and want the Indian film industry to carry on with such experiments i added 2 more points.
Swapnil Kumar Agent Vinod - 3.75/5 ... i loved the numerous classic references, Bud Spencer, The Five Man Army, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, classic bollywood thrillers, R D Burman's music, Film noir touché', lack of unnecessary bgm, twisty plot, dunno what's there not to like.....of course, it didn't had any pandey or rathore or singham crap going on for it.....but it's quite understandable why it bombed, and all the negative reviews here...when a puny Matt Damon takes on 3-4 people in Bourne, they clap, here, they snapped...it's actually a sign of a hollowness, extreme shallowness in terms of art, where dabangg, singham, house full 2 etc have settled in...don't go with the bad reviews, i'd recommend this film over any other bollywod flick easily...and "raabta" was really shot wonderfully, while shaitaan's khoya chand, was, incomprehensible and just a work of slow down, play, pause, rewind, go fast, etc...
