jackojacko This kind of movies was OK in the 70s and early 80s. I wonder how anyone can believe the story was even remotely possible??? The amount of stereotypes and phrases/ characters used in similar films was more than any person can stand. I watched it on TV and started to hate myself for being so silly to waste 2 hours of my time watching it (instead of writing my dissertation). The only "convincing" character was the fat man (who stayed unconscious all the time and ... looked typically American:-) Apart from that, crap at its best. Wash the dishes, arrange the books you have or walk a neighbour's dog instead of watching it. You have been warned.

amandakaren4 I have seen airspeed several times and I think the movie is absolutely excellent. It shows the courage and selflessness of a girl that in the end saves several friends and family. The film kept me on the edge of my seat and I loved it.The fact that a young girl almost single-handedly flew a plane to safety is tremendous and the help she got from her rock - a guy who works at the airport was truly life saving.The movie is filled with tension, belief, love, selflessness, courage and bravery.I recommend anyone who has not seen the film to watch it" :~)

peroyvind Hmm, the only entertaining thing about this movie was to read otherpeoples comments on how bad it was. I bet this must be the worst movie I've seen for the last five years..This movie is so freakishly predictable that there's virtuallyimpossible to give away any spoilers, but here goes, the only spoiler:In stead of the girl landing the plane at once, they save some of thepeople with another plane, but then somethings goes wrong and the girlhas (as expected) to land the plane. Also, why didn't the pilot dude from the other plane which came aboardland the plane? I recommend this movie to all people who likes to make fun of stuff...

MisterTed Bad acting, bad writing, dumb plot. The only reason to watch this is teen hottie Elisha Cuthbert. Even a competent actor like Joe Mantegna can't make the lines he's forced to say sound believable. His reaction to his daughter's plight is too calm and business like, as if he was told his luggage would be slightly delayed. Concentrate on Elisha and ignore the rest.
