santhosh AB set an example for all commercial films. can't even guess the story in the 1st half moves so slowly but steadily, but bombarded in the tails. Synopsis is that Aadhi got trapped to the bhagavan cave, after how aadhi escaped is the remaining story. Ameer's cast & crew are so perfect. JR's acting getting improved. Especially, Bhagavan's performance. can't even emote in words, should feel it in theater. Ameer extract a great outcome from JR and Neetu too. she has done a stunt scene with JR, that's too fab. Cinematography work was so neat, one of the best are stunt scene's at night. Editing in the fight scenes are not good. Finally, my fav u1, always he's best. BGms are wow. I disappoints when my fav song Yaavum and oru thuli are not in the film. Watch it and know the fact what's commercial meant to be....
glitzz97 Aadhi Bhagavan: The film we've all been expecting from director Ameer and actor "Jeyam" Ravi. Many people had high hopes for it to be trend- setter. About the film, the storyline is different and amazing, yet not for everyone. The first half blends the artistic portrayal of a high class gangsters' lifestyle. It somehow makes you experience the similar experience while watching "The Godfather" due to the similar portrayal of a mafia family. The tone of the film in the first half makes you feel like this is going to be another masterpiece like "Nayakan". The BGM is also amazing , kudos to Mr. Yuvan Shankar Raja. The second half on the other hand, takes us to a whole new level, and that's where the real brilliance begins. Director Ameer really deserves a standing ovation for making gangster films in a total different manner. His way of contrasting two characters was flawless, and that was heavily possible due to Mr. Ravi's acting skills and expressions. In the beginning, even I sighed as I thought this was going to be another cliché where double acting is concerned. I was proved wrong as this film was wonderful and can only be enjoyed by A class audiences. For people who're expecting a commercial film, please head to the "Alex Pandian" group of audiences. As for the film being a trend-setter, I'd say it definitely succeeds.Direction: 8/10Acting: 8/10 Music: 7.5/10Overall: 8.2/10 (74%)
santhosh_ario First of all i would like to thank Mr.Ameer sulthan who select ravi to act in it .. a much effort taken by ravi to express in all possible ways and to attract the audience with his keen acting .. just now i came from theaters and the 157 min had made me to write this review . excellent acting from all and once again after paruthi veeran ameer proved that he has the capacity that he could get the perfection from any actor . Then i really want to say about neetu , who gave the thrilling part for the movie and who has put a way to introduce bhagavan .first half is really seems to be a Hollywood mafia story and after the second fight the movie get more interesting . the second half became more interesting by yuvan and Bhagavan.i am sure ameer would have made the audience to feel why he keeps the slogan of this flick as mafioso love story ..over all the movie is excellent and it proves ravi's talent and it sure deserves a national award for him . if you are addicted for the films like departed, district 11 ., this one is for you , eat it . . .
specsandthecity If the makers of "Aadhi Bhagavan" were under the impression that controversies work in favor of a movie esp after Vishwaroopam Fiasco, they are in for a disappointment .There were plenty of empty seats in the theater even after the controversy surrounding the movie. Now on to the movie.I don't believe that the movie deserves a really big post cause the movie ain't worth it.So i will try and keep the review as short as possible. Now first to the plot of the movie. The plot isn't something really novel. It is a tale of Aadhi and Bhagavan, both played by Jayam Ravi.Aadhi, a gangster in Bangkok, lives a luxurious life who falls in love with Rani(played by Neetu Chandra) while Bhagavan is a local thug in Mumbai. How destiny brings them together forms the crux of the rest of the story.
