You know how you spend half an hour flipping thru netflix trying to find a decent movie to watch that you won't be disappointed in? Well, if you are into crime dramas with some good actors, then this is your pick. It's a good netflix popcorn-night movie. Sure not the greatest, not something I'd be happy with if I spend full price at the theater. But good enough to watch on a saturday night netflix binge watch night.

A lot better than I expected, caught this one on Netflix this evening and it's a straightforward movie. WARNING: dogfights are a major part of this one, although it leaves most of the gore to the viewer's imagination. Not a movie for folks who don't like to hear dogs yelp/sound like they're in pain.Three thieves (Brody, Culkin, Malkovich) hide out in an abandoned warehouse after a heist. But there's a killer dog on the loose. Reminiscent of Cujo only with really good sets. Had me on the edge of my seat. Intermingled were chunks of exposition on each of the thieves in flashbacks. Culkin was quite good.A lot of camera work from the dog's point of view, which was a unique element. The first minute of the movie was the worst minute.

Not your average thriller or crime movie. In fact, the film has the feel of a stage play about it. Perhaps because much of it is set inside a warehouse. In other words, the film is a decent drama. The unorthodox plot develops well and the cast does a good job with mediocre, stereotypical dialogue. The script weaves in some real moments of suspense almost making the film seem like a horror flick! The movie has more than its suspense moments. It has a solid story which may appeal to the 'critic' minded film-goer. It's a plot which can be interpreted at various levels (like a play!) . Despite its occasional predictability the movie makes it easy to while away 1.5 hours. After all, not all movies can be rated 8 or above?

"Bullet head" is an incredibly snubbed film of 2017, starring with the great Adrien Brody and the great John Malkovich, and the almost unknown director Paul Solet, who directed, before this, only two films that I have not yet seen, but they were not much appreciated by both critics and the public.
Honestly, the only reasons that led me to view this film are Malkovich and Brody who, in fact, together form, despite the poor characterization of the characters, an excellent couple that I would be happy to see maybe in a better quality film. Although I have to admit that it is not entirely to be thrown away, the direction is not bad, apart from the terrible first person sequences from the dog's point of view, Solet has done a great job in the memory scenes, I loved how he represented them . Unfortunately, if he did not stop as a director, he did it in the screenplay that not only offers bad dialogues but also tells a surreal and ridiculous story, the film starts telling something and ends up telling a completely different story. In the film there is also Antonio Banderas who plays the "bad guy" on duty, very shabby and without personality.
