Gerda Klar They did a pretty good job, it is a little rough on editing and camera, but they were working clearly working on a budget, the writing was just as good as any studio film. And the acting good. I agree I did enjoy the play between the various characters it Tiffany and Struckmann did a pretty damn funny job at times. Well done. I understand that it was made on an extremely low budget, and some people love to compare those to large studio films, but this seems hardly fair, These guys made a good little film with a solid story. The acting was solid throughout even if the editing and camera work could have been better. and like peter said it is made to tell a serious story about a very big problem and making a film to depict it is inspiring.
petercohen-82116 I thought it was a great little independent film, surely they did not have a big budget but they made a pretty good movie. The acting was good and there is a really cool little play between the two lead characters. The story line was solid and could easily have been made for a big budget. I agree the lead Tino Struckmann belong in far bigger budget films he does a really great acting job. the kid has chops and I hope he gets a chance to break through big. There were some limitations set by the obvious low budget and that is what it is as they say. However that should not detract from the film feel and writing, it tells a story that have happened and thus should be made, as it is easier to talk about real life issues when making the film about them. And for that alone the film makers should be applauded.
marchusweller What a great little independent film, certainly it was done on a small budget. But they really did a good job with what they had. The story would have been amazing if made on a big budget. The lead actor Tino Struckmann did a great job leading it, solid humor and acting, a little touch of Die Hard humor, he will do great in Hollywood. Great supporting cast and some funny little smart comments with a humor ties it together well. it was a low budget indie film certainly, but that being said, the story was good and I certainly do not agree that the acting was bad. I found the roles believable and very well preformed honestly.
sedelstein the idea they set out to do is solid, and the actors are good, it could have been shot a bit better and edited a bit faster, but for a popcorn film its pretty good. there is no real use of cgi or a lot of filler, its pretty much suspense and action throughout. it is a low budget film, sure, but its better then most of the low budget i have seen, great use of, pro wrestlers, and they did a great job too, a few new faces too, some of them could goo far if Hollywood finds them. the leads did a great job and should definitely be seen in bigger action films and have higher budgets i saw interview with the director talking about the storyline based on the real human trafficking going on right here in our back yard. and that makes it worth watching just on that account.
