Synopsis

Fifteen years later, the heroes from Cruising Bar may hardly have changed but the world around them most certainly has! For the Bull, reality is brutal. His wife of 30 years, sick of his infidelity, decides to show him the door. But the Bull, who has a positive outlook on life, isn't so easily defeated and fights for his survival. The Lion too faces a break-up when his girlfriend leaves. All alone, he's force to relearn the art of seduction. The Peacock, on the other hand, is trying to figure out his sexual identity with the help of a psychologist. As for the Earthworm, his long wait for a soulmate will, at last, be requited.

Reviews

DegustateurDeChocolat Unlike other reviewers I found this movie a good comedy. The comic sense is based on the characters' bizarre lives and their unique physical looks and way of talking. They're goofy and they struggle to find women to have a relationship with. There are four stories set in Quebec each one with a peculiarity. There is the rich and sophisticated businessman who can't manage to get a stable relationship with women and whose psychiatrist suspects he's gay; the car dealer womanizer who has to win back the trust of his wife; the timid man who tries in every way, within its character possibilities, to find the woman of his life; the broke stunt-man who, during his search of his soul mate, is still regretting of losing his recent love. As I said I would give a good rating because the movie has many funny situations and the characters have bizarre looks and manners. However, a flaw I found in this movie was that it often switched from one story to another too quickly, which is partly understandable because there are four stories to be developed without anyone of them tangling in with the others.
jocedeg This sequel to the mildly amusing 1989 film tries to recapture the spirit of the original but, sadly, misses the mark by a long shot ! We meet the four losers again, almost 20 years older, and still trying very hard to seduce, with limited success. The pacing of this movie is very slow and the structure does nothing to keep the viewer interested. We're treated to a series of vignettes that are neither clever, nor funny. A crime for a comedy.Michel Côté, again playing the 4 roles that made him a comedy superstar in Québec, somehow fails to raise the movie above it's mediocre plot, something he did very well in the original movie. If you make it pass the 1 hour mark, you could decide to either stop watching or keep going. Whatever you choose won't make a big difference: you won't find any reward by staying until the end, because by that time, you'll have figured out that this sequel is nothing more than another boring movie.
sam_117 Excellent execution in making a sequel to a comedy classic. This movie is just as funny as the first one. It is evident that the film makers love these characters and worked very hard at doing them justice. The movie is just very funny. I wish all movies were made with this much love and hard work. That being said. Many people won't understand this movie or just find it average. This is because it's a sequel to a 1989 french-Canadian movie and, it requires that you've seen the first movie and have some knowledge of french-Canadian culture, in order for you to fully understand the humor. But you still might like it.Again, great movie, I'll be seeing this one again.
