David Cleasby This movie was probably the greatest thing I've seen and it brightened up my day when i had nothing to do or anything to watchthe story was brilliant, very eye opening and it was performed amazingly well. This movie is definitely worth a watch and a good rating! The thing about this movie is the fact it does give off the whole "Daddy vibe" which yeah is a gay slang for younger and older people dating, but it shows that it doesn't really matter what your age is as long as you love each other, but it also shows that you shouldn't really let love get in the way of your friendship as it may mess it up.
Michael Tongko This is seriously one of the most well-thought out, well-acted and well- directed movies I've seen this year! Having my own daddy issues in my life, this film resonated with me, pulling me in every direction with every character. Gerald McCullouch is the extremely dreamy Daddy type that you just feel every emotion from! Just looking into those eyes of his in every close up and you just feel for him. Love how the contrast in lighting in the gloomy parts of Philadelphia and the brightness from the perfect weather in LA are done in the movie. Each city becomes a character in the movie. The twist in the plot had me gasping out loud! Incredible performances from, all actors! AMAZING Job!
Joel "Daddy" is excellent. Gerald and Dan have created a film that is in-depth, engrossing and a tad startling. Camera work is wonderful and each and every single person featured is giving their best as part of this movie. This is also the directorial debut of Gerald McCullough. He's done a great job.The pacing of the film is terrific. You feel carried along into an engrossing, deeply personal experience.I'm not in the film business. I also rarely go to see first run films as so many of them are, to be honest, not very good."Daddy" is a welcome exception. I'll state it again...See this film!
granolen-44989 I don't want to give anything away, and do yourself a favor and stay away from reading anything that gives it away.Daddy delivers a punch right to your gut. I was expecting a lighthearted, multi-generational and light film. What you get is an emotional assault on your psyche, but in a good way.The three main characters are genuine, not cliché, and honest. I think all gay men can relate to the relationship between Colin and Stewart. What gay man doesn't have a long standing friendship that started out sexual, but you realized you were better off as friends... like Golden Girl level friends? Colin and Stewart present that dynamic so well. And they both deliver a dichotomy. Colin has this great sexuality and alpha male vibe. Stewart is adorkable and sweet. And like most gay friendships, when one begins a new relationship, the friendship experiences turbulence. And this film has some serious turbulence...Do yourself a favor and see this unique gay film.
