sol ***MAJOR SPOILERS*** Thought provoking as well as bone chilling mocudrama about the fictitious assassination of President GW Bush and how in trying to find who murdered the president some in the US Government and Justice Department actually achieve what the accused assassin was convicted of attempting to do: Take away the American peoples rights & freedoms guaranteed to them by the US Constitution & Bill of Rights! This all takes place in the future,the movie was made in 2006, on the evening of October 19, 2007 when President Bush came to give a speech about the US economy at Chicago's Sheraton Hotel. Wanting to get a clear shot at the president the unknown & unseen assassin waits for him across the street with a sniper's rifle ready to pull the trigger as soon as he leave for his limousine.We see the horror and confusion after the president is gunned down and the futile attempts to save his life as he dies from his wounds, two gunshot wounds, at Chicago's Northwestern Hospital three hours later. What later happens is in the attempt to solve the "Crime of the Century" everything is done to capture the assassin and bring him to justice. Even if the person who's deemed to be the president's killer is totally innocent! And with that the new installed President of the United States former VP William Chaney starts to enact the Patriot III Bill suspending wherever rights the American people still have left to them.The alleged assassin who was arrested not far from the scene of the shooting Syrian national Abu Zikri is immediately connected to the terrorist Al-Qeada group who are accused of the 9/11 attacks. And with the flimsiest of evidence in that Zikri once traveled to Afghanistan and possibly trained in an Al-Qeada terrorist camp there and was a member of the Syrian Army Zikri is soon convicted and sentenced to death by a federal court jury. But later in the film we find out who the real assassin of President GW Bush really was after he himself committed suicide and left a full confession note with specific details of the presidents movements, only known to the secret service, of how and why did did it! And the truth behind Pesident Bush's assassination is both a shocker as well as far too close to home and political reality for those in power to accept. In their hast to get the assassin of the president the US Justice Department arrested convicted and sentenced to death an innocent man! And even worse with the now new but secret, from the public, evidence of who the real assassin of the president is instead of exonerating Abu Zikri the US Government still plans to go through with his execution! That in order not to make public how badly it screwed things up!***SPOILERS** As for the person, who turned out to be a highly decorated Gulf War Veteran, who actually assassinate President GW Bush he in is disturbed mind had good reasons to do it. His youngest son David was killed in Iraq while serving with the US Army and he holds GW Bush totally responsible for his death. A death together with thousands of other US servicemen & women who died there that was not only unnecessary but criminal on the president's and those who support the war, in the US Congress & Senate, part. In the fact that the reasons,the 9/11 attacks and WMDs or weapons of mass destruction, for sending troops in that country to fight and die there was proved to be totally bogus! The movie brings out how a tragic event can in fact be used consciously or unconsciously by those in power to do far more damage to this country then the person or persons who supposedly had initiated it. Because the death of President GW Bush was a direct result of his discredited war policies it had to be played down by the US Government and many in the Congress & Senate who voted for and had them enacted. But even worse when it later turned out that the person who assassinated GW Bush did it for very personal and not political reasons, the tragic death of his son, that was a direct result of them that was never allowed to see the light of day and thus be buried along with him. Even if a totally innocent man,Abu Zikri, was to end up paying with his life for what he in fact did!

lastliberal This International Emmy winning film is a clear picture of what the rest of the World thinks of Bush and his policies of warmongering and removal of civil liberties to suppress dissent against his illegal war.The focus is not on his assignation, as that really would change nothing with Cheney assuming control, but on the investigation itself into the killing and the fact that everything stopped once they had a Muslim suspect. Convicted on circumstantial evidence that would not hold up in any other murder investigation, the suspect remains in jail under Patriot III, even though there is clear and convincing evidence that another man did it to punish Bush for the death of his son.Of course, this is all made up. The film itself was well worth watching, and should be no surprise to anyone who is paying attention to what has been happening this country in the last seven years.

daveycaspian Firstly I should state that I am no fan of George W. Bush and in fact think he is probably the worst president of the past 30 years. I also do not find the film's subject matter "disgusting." People in the U.S. and elsewhere are free to make a movie exploring the effects of an assassination on George W. Bush or any other public figure. And Americans shouldn't be so hasty to lambaste something since they only bring more attention to it by doing so. With that said: this movie is terrible. It does not belong in a theater; it is a film that screams loudly it was made to be viewed on the internet, or at best as a made-for-TV movie. It is not only poorly made but also unprofessional. It is a fictional movie presented in a realistic manner, yet it comes nowhere near convincing the viewer to take it seriously. The story is poorly told: the movie attempts to lay itself out as a documentary, yet all the while knows itself to be a work of fiction. There are plot twists and severe dramatic elements, neither of which belong in a documentary, which presents solely the facts. The style of the film is terrible; from obviously photo shopped images of interviewed actors appearing with the President, to lame mock-ups of anti-Bush protests, the movie consistently comes across as childish and amateur. The worst part of the film is probably the actors who are interviewed, each one is terrible in their own unique way. And then of course the movie's liberal slant is presented about as subtly as a Dick Cheney gunshot to the face.The movie is not worth seeing, but not because of its controversial subject matter. It is simply a poorly made film that hinges its entire presentation on its controversial statement. It will disappear, as well as it should, from memory and fade into notoriety.

bigdaddyc_58103 For those of you that dislike GWB this movie is for you. Just like me I don't like GWB never will. I saw this movie on the shelf rented it and bought it the same day. Its too bad that the truth hurts so bad that those who like GWB would dislike this film.
