adonis98-743-186503 A musical re-imagining of the 1987 film, Dirty Dancing (1987). Dirty Dancing is one of my favorite Patrick Swayze films and this TV movie remake has none of that excitement or the magic of the original in general, hell even Dirty Dancing 2 was better than this and at least Swayze was still alive and even had a small cameo that was pretty fun. This film uses the same music but it doesn't use that same fire or that same energy as the original and even the casting is all wrong and don't get me wrong Abigail Breslin is a great actress and she has proved that with movies like Maggie and Signs but she is no Jennifer Grey and that other guy is no freaking Patrick Swayze in any shape or form at all. nenethestrange What happend to Dirty Dancing? I mean, they better call it Dirty Singing. I know musical are all about singing and they are good singing but man, they cannot dance at all. Dirty Dancing is a dancing movie and choosing actors that can't dance wasn't a good idea. I hope i will forgot this thing fast.

optimumlaser I would rather watch the remake of Ghost Busters 137 times than have to watch 15 more minutes of this garbage. Baby is supposed to be attractive, she's not called baby because she hasn't lost her baby weight yet. Baby was not supposed to be a millennial feminist. And why did they make her 18? We all know that no one in Hollywood cares about age. Jennifer Grey even turned down a part because of how horrible it was. I'm surprised this has 3.1 stars, it should be hovering just above zero. The pandering was over the top. Nobody puts baby in the corner (she wasn't even in a corner in the movie) mainly because she wouldn't fit.

martasousafdez In fact I'm thankful for 3 hours movie. Why?? because I laughed so hard! I just watched it now on TV, six months after they released it. I'm not an easy laugh person but I swear with this joke-parody-remake I had the time of my life laughing so hard. Well it was half laughing, half awkward - painful to see in a lot of scenes. I had the need of stop looking at the screen sometimes for the embarrassing moments the main characters were playing. Abigail is the worst of the movie. It looks like the whole production is mocking her by making her ugly, silly, stiff, NUMB! I almost felt pity for her. But lets not forget she's a grown up woman now, enough to auto-evaluate herself and recognize she's not in the mood or with the skills to play that role. She looked like on drugs, as I said, numb and slow, like she wasn't completely on her mind... And it's not because of her weight, it's not about if she's fit or not, because we all have seen Hairspray and the main character was a chubby, fatty girl, and she Nailed it! come on... it's not about the body, it's about the attitude. Did they do it on purpose, about dressing and make up them all horribly?? Specially Abigail?? Well, they succeed, Congratulations! And thanks again for the laughs. Now I know what to do every time I feel sad or depressed. Just watch it, but not with a serious thought, only as an absurd parody such as Scary movie, and laugh. Who would have thought they were trying to awaken our sense of humor!P.D. They had to be, in a parallel Universe were the whole and last product movie seemed right.
