Synopsis

Lise Cohen is taken to a special prisoner-of-war camp for female Jews, a camp run as a bordello to entertain the German officers and troops going in to battle. The camp is run with an iron fist by Commandant Starker and his minion Alma. Starker becomes frustrated when Lise demonstrates no fear, and devises cruel experiments to scare her, to no avail. Once she realizes her guilt is unfounded, Lise begins to play Starker's game, but even though she begins living a better life, she doesn't forget the atrocities she has seen and experienced.

FastFunandDeadly Good god, I don't even know where to start. Just the read the title and you'd think you would get a pretty good idea of what to expect. In Italian the title translates to 'Last Orgy of the Third Reich' but in English the film is known under the title 'Gestapo's Last Orgy.' But believe or not, this actually one of the better entries in the Nazisploitation genre, and certainly one of the most depraved. The plot of the movie is simple; Lise Cohen (played by future UNICEF member Daniella Poggi under the alias Daniella Levy) is meeting up with Commandant Starker at the ruins of the female death camp she was sent to. There, we see through flashbacks what happened to her at the site: as a prisoner, her iron will and refusal to show fears leads to interest from the Commandant of the camp, who begins to take interest in trying to break her through humiliation and torture. Overtime, we see them develop a closer relationship that Lise uses to her advantage so she can survive. But all is not as it seems, and we see the film end a "tragic" note (depends on how you define the word "tragic.").For such a low budget picture, the movie is surprisingly well-made considering the sleaze this film contains. The acting is certainly passable, the dubbing is actually pretty good and the sets are well-done. The score gives off a very heinous and gloomy feel although I wouldn't be surprised if it's from the public domain. The main theme played at the beginning and concluding credits though, is surprisingly uplifting with the German lyrics and bright singing by some woman whose identity will probably remain unknown forever. Hell, there's even some character development because why the hell not? Granted there a couple of obvious problems with such a low budget film, look no further than the infamous "killer gerbil" scene (they're supposed to be rats!), or even one of the other torture scenes (yeah I'm sure that's really what quicklime looks like!).Now is the part where I get to talk about the actual content of the movie. What we get is a movie that undoubtedly aimed to be the sickest in its sub-genre, and perhaps actually accomplished it. Like all Nazisploitation movies, it is not the Nazis themselves being exploited, but the atrocities they committed. This is one of the few films in the genre to actually refer to the prisoners as Jews, and uses such wonderful adjectives as "subhuman" and "undesirable." Surprisingly, the violence is rather limited when compared to some of the other exploitation movies of the time period, but the film decided to make up for that with plenty of disturbing scenes and imagery to go along with the touchy script, including the necessary overabundance of swastikas and Nazi imagery, and just about any woman in this movie is seen naked at one point. At one point the female Commandant shows a collection of items made from the body parts of the concentration camp victims, presumably inspired by actual items recovered from camps such as Auschwitz and Buchenwald. Hell, even in one of the versions, they still cut a few scenes out, even though some of the nudity and violence remained. Yeah, it's that bad.To conclude, I'll address the multiple cuts of this film that I've seen. The most common seems to be a cut using the Gestapo's Last Orgy title that cuts out a good chunk of the notorious dinner scene as well as some shots of victims dying and/or suffering in the camp, and contains a shortened ending. The cut using the absurd Caligula Reincarnated as Hitler title (neither Caligula nor Hitler is mentioned in the film) is more of the same, except the intro cuts are inter-spliced over with the Taylor Wane lookalike from the cover (probably an attempt to reel in more of a BD/SM audience). Finally there's a truly uncut version (also using the original GLO title) which contains everything that is available in both the original Italian dialog as well as the English dubbing. If you're hardcore into these type of films this one is certainly recommended, but for the uninitiated be forewarned: of all the "video nasties," this is probably the nastiest.
Red-Barracuda The Gestapo's Last Orgy concerns an unlikely romance between a Nazi death camp commandant and a Jewish female prisoner, Lise Cohen. Shortly after the war they rendezvous at the dilapidated remains of the concentration camp they met. From here, the story is told in flashback. We discover that the camp was used to incarcerate Jewish women. These women were subsequently subjected to all manner of sexual degradation, torture and death. Lise refuses to be broken by her Nazi oppressors and, subsequently, becomes the object of the camp commandant's obsession. This leads to her being treated in increasingly degrading ways. But the commandant's obsession also offers her hope of salvation. As an example of the Naziploitation sub-genre, The Gestapo's Last Orgy is a more hard-edged entry than the very silly SS Experiment Camp. Unlike the latter film, there is more of an attempt at authenticity. The victims are clearly referred to as Jews and the treatment meted out to the women is often very disturbing. That is not to say that the film is a convincing depiction of events in a Nazi death camp - it is pretty ridiculous a lot of the time. However, there is a definite mean-spiritedness about this exploitation movie. The women seem to be constantly undressed. There is a great deal of sexual assault, humiliation and torture. The victims are hung naked from chains, fed to dobermans, drowned in quicklime - you name it. This, of course, all sounds extremely lurid and nasty. And it is. But the film isn't terribly well-made, so it isn't quite as shocking as it sounds. The crazy dubbing does not help matters either. Nevertheless, I would be very surprised if this film finds itself released uncut on DVD in the UK. With it's combination of sex and violence, this is one of the infamous 'video nasties' that would still pose some problems to UK censors. So, if that is enough of a recommendation for you then go for it.
Claudio Carvalho The beautiful blonde (Daniela Poggi) is sent to a concentration camp for female Jews to be sexually used by the German soldiers. She is not afraid of dying, since she believes she provoked the death of her family in a ghetto. Commandant Conrad von Starker (Marc Loud) feels challenged by her behavior and decides to torture her, making she faces the horror of death. Later, she becomes her sexual slave of along the period of war. In the post-war, they meet each other, with this meeting ending in a tragic way. This type of 'exploitation movie' recalls `Ilsa, She Wolf of the SS', with a shallow drama which recalls `The Night Porter' and violence like `Salo, or The 120 Days of Sodom'. At least, Daniela Poggi, who works naked along all the movie, has a beautiful body and the violence is limited, therefore it is watchable. I do not like this genre, but there are movies worse than `L' Ultima orgia del III Reich'. My vote is four. Title (Brazil): `As Condenadas' (`The Condemned')
Dr. Gore *SPOILER ALERT* *SPOILER ALERT*"Gestapo's Last Orgy" is the touching story of a blonde prisoner of war and her determined and sadistic Nazi captor. He is taken by her lack of fear of dying and decides it would be fun to break her. He talks on and on about how one must fear death to appreciate life etc. He decides to try many little games to get her to shriek. My personal favorite was hanging her naked upside down while the rats jump for her head. AH-HAHAHAHA! "Scream! Cry out!" Yes, it was one demented little movie. Not bloody or gory, just reveling in it's own twisted nature. Many speeches are given bashing the Jews and how the Germans have every right to rape, torture, do whatever they want to them. Plenty of nudity and yes, there is an orgy. It's very well made. Surprising for this level of exploitation. I don't think you could get much lower than exploiting the Holocaust. If you like this kind of stuff, "Gestapo's Last Orgy" is worth seeing. Sick and twisted.
