trashgang Girl Hell isn't that known by the lovers of Japanese horror but it do is a classic by the Japanese splatter gore lovers. Up to this writing it never had a proper release outside Japan so it is only available in Japanese language and even then it's hard to find. Still, some are disappointed by this flick because the nudity scene's are blurred, a typical Japanese phenomena. But for the lovers of ultra extreme flicks Girl Hell is available on DVD-R together with another ultra rare flick, Women's Flesh: My Red Guts. The difference between the two is that Girl Hell is a real flick with actors and WFMRG looks like a snuff flick. There's only one girl in it, unknown.Girl Hell was for me not that extreme as being said. It's more a kind of exploitation flick were we follow one girl having a bad day. For some it might be a strange flick because we do see milk coming out of a breast while feeding a doll! Further on we do see a wife being raped by her husband but not on a normal way, she's strapped like a mummy. It do becomes weirder and weirder but gore is left out. The red stuff do flows but most of the ugly parts are done off-screen. naturally being only available in Japanese language it may be hard to watch for some but you will get the picture while watching it. I thought it would be ultra gory but be honest, it never really becomes that it only has a few rare situations. Gore 2/5 Nudity 1/5 Effects 2/5 Story 3/5 Nudity 0/5But it's the second flick on the famous disc that do delivers the extremities. sadly it's of bad quality but people who can catch it will be glad to have a copy of this notorious flick. What we do see here is just one girl going berserk on her own body. Being influenced by an experimental drug she first finds out that penetrating her body do has his satisfaction. The only thing she uses herefor is some kind of metal spoon look-a like. She enters it in her mouth soon to be placed in her vagina until blood runs out. Once she's bleeding the drug do what it got to do and she starts to enjoy by cutting her body with a fork to be replaced later by a knife. She discovers that pain do gives thrills. the pain do becomes excessive until mutilation of the body becomes extreme.Clearly not for everybody and comes into the regions of the almost lost an extreme rare to find Chinoumi by which none is known, not the actors or the director, another bizarre entry in Japanese underground splatter flicks. But it even can become more extreme with another hard to get example, the flicks by the Daikichi's Genki-Genki production house. Japan, a strange country with the most extreme flicks.Gore 5/5 Nudity 2/5 Effects 4/5µ Story 1/5 Comedy 0/5
HumanoidOfFlesh "Girl Hell 1999" aka "Injured Murder Rape Film" is another nasty film from Daisuke Yamanouchi's oeuvre.I own this sickie in Japanese,so the plot is not fully understandable for me,but here we go:a girl enjoys riding her bike and she meets her homeless mother in a field who is breastfeeding a doll(actual milk comes out). One day she comes back home and she sees her father raping her older sister who is bandaged almost head to toe.A rich pervert is stalking her and she encounters two teenagers on a murder and rape rampage.Japanese exploitation director Daisuke Yamanouchi specializes in making obscure and very nasty pinku eiga oriented films filled with sadistic rape and sexual abuse."Girl Hell 1999" has a feeling of "Red Room" movies and "Mu Zan E" as it offers plenty of nihilism. An interesting curio for fans of ero gro.All others should avoid it.7 out of 10.
ElijahCSkuggs Girl Hell 1999, weird name for a flick huh? Well, it's a weird movie. And the obscure factor rises when you don't know a damn thing what they're saying. That is the biggest issue you'll most likely have with Girl Hell, that is if you're a fan of this type of film. If you're not, haha, it's kinda "pahvoice".The story like I said is kinda confusing. It revolves around a young school girl who is living in a pretty hellish reality. Her Dad sexually abuses her injured and heavily bandaged Mom...or older sister, which Im not entirely sure which. Her Dad also seems to threaten her quite a bit, causing the gentle daughter to have a nasty inflicted suicide wound on her wrist, that she bites into when things get a little rough. There's a side story where the young girl seems to have befriended some homeless girl who lives near the shore. I have no clue what their relationship is, maybe they just met? Maybe she's the girl's sister, that possibly has suffered from gigantic psychological issues. It's really a guessing game there. Then there is a side story where two young hooligans seem to be reminiscing about past events, and that you realize that one of them was responsible for the injuries of the girls' Mom/Sister. There are a few other situations happening where the young girl's life is fully solidified as being a nightmare, from a perverted businessman to a fat friend who seems to be living life happily but at the same time, not being a true friend in the slightest bit. Characters meet and obviously bizarre and violent events take place.Girl Hell was pretty entertaining. It had some very dark humor, some very sleazy sex, and some bloody violence. There is one scene where the fat friend is having sex with her sugar daddy....who may be the king when it comes down to being a sleaze bag when having sex. He's screaming and sweating....that was a real funny scene. There was also a pretty sexy scene where lesbian nipple sucking is on screen. The movie has the goods, but like I said previously, you can't understand much, which really sucks. Daisuke is a good story teller from what I can gather, because Red Room was a well-written movie, and I'm sure this would be the case as well. So yeah, if you're into Daisuke flick and extreme/Asian cinema, there's no reason not to check out Girl Hell. 7 outta 10
sevdah First of all, it's not very easy ( and it might not make much sense ) to review a Japanese movie with no subtitles available anywhere if you don't speak Japanese. I watched " Red room 1" , apparently only Yamanouchi's flick with translation ( Thanks to Unearthed Films )and found out that it's not just pure senseless exploitation and sickness. From my personal point of view, director and screenwriter is an intelligent person with fairly bizarre imagination ,but, unfortunately, this is obscured by the fact that there is no other author's movie translated to English ( I hope this will change eventually ). " Girl Hell " , therefore, might seem chaotic, unintelligible and pointless, but my feelings are that this is not the case. I'll try to explain this right away:The movie has a plot that is coherent and events presented in this shocking, disgusting piece of nihilistic nightmare are obviously connected and represent pieces of a very tragic story - to say the least. The main character - girl with the bicycle - is actually a sister of the horribly victimized woman bandaged , tied with duct tape and repeatedly raped by her father. I know this because the main character talks to her using the word that means " sister" ( I learned that watching Japanese films with subs). So, there's a very violent incest on top of all other horrendous things. It seems that the main girl is somewhat spared from this abuse, so it might result in her feelings of guilt over her sister being a " sacrificial lamb" , and herself being at least partially spared because of that ( or maybe some other reason too). The victimized sister bears a horrible wound on her stomach that looks like a result of a failed suicide attempt ( seppuku ). Although the luckier sister is able to call the police and end this nightmare, she chooses not to, which is actually not a rarity in cases of a severe domestic abuse. Maybe she is somehow blackmailed by her sadistic father. Now, let's say something about two young rapists. One of them, the dominant one, is somehow acquainted with the situation in the sadist's family. He himself is also a sadist. When he talks to his buddy we see a flashback that reveals the images of a brutalized girl in bandages- it's like he knows her. And what I find very interesting about it, is that during that part , the guy also uses the word " sister". Maybe he is their brother who escaped from that hellish household. There is no doubt about the fact that he is very much alike that disgusting sicko prone to incest and torture; he proves that on more that one occasion. He knows where the house is, and when confronted with the father on the front door of the house, we can observe that father doesn't look surprised when he sees him. He kills the father. The subsequent abuse of the poor girl in bandages by two young maniacs is just a logical continuation of her previous torment. And what about that surreal, huge, red moon over that horrid house? My guess is that it might be a hint to something that places the plot in the context that suits the movie title: maybe it all happens in some sort of hell, another dimension made for punishment and suffering. But maybe I'm wrong.I don't know what to say about homeless woman, except that her death by the hand of the main character also looks surreal ( I mean, you can't decapitate someone with the baseball bat just like that, but on the other hand, Yamanouchi's " Kyoko vs Yuki" is richer with even more ridiculous acts of violence).Sickness breeds sickness, depravity creates depravity, violence causes violence. These are some of the messages in this movie. I liked it in a weird sort of way and hope someday someone will invest some effort in translating this strange flick so I can finally know what it's all about. 7 out of 10.
