suite92 Dr. Cruler and Dr. Fump intend to overcome Hulk's strength advantages using the Abomination. So they capture Hulk, betray the Abomination, then try to squeeze all the energy out of them. That does not quite work.Cruler and Fump manage to create a glowing ball of energy that has a primitive self-awareness. It feeds on energy. Stark uses the EMP (electro magnetic pulse bomb) on it, and seems to put it out of commission.Hulk gives Stark a lot of trouble. Then the ball of energy, Zzzax, takes over more and more parts of Stark's flying fortress. Hulk has no problems dispatching the mandroids, but Zzzax gets into the reactor. Can Tony and the Hulk get out of this one? If they do make it, who did more damage, the bad guys or Hulk and Iron Man? -----Scores-----Art/Animation: 0/10 Amazingly ugly and incomplete. Looks like old school 3D, and not good old school. Too flat, too few polygons, too much loss of contrast, and so on. Looks like a giant step backwards. What's with that, Marvel? Did I mention lack of contrast? Looks a lot too much like the first Tron, only with slightly more colour.Sound: 6/10 Mostly OK.Voice Acting: 2/10 Talking, articulate Hulk? Sorry, no. The voices for Fump and Cruler give the impression of feckless, bumbling idiots. Adrian Pasdar was OK as Stark; David Kaye fine as Jarvis.Story: 2/10 Stupid dialog. Drs. Cruler and Fump seem to be woefully stupid, and Hulk too clever. The story, such as it is, is not compelling. Hulk figuring out the root cause when Tony Stark does not? No, thanks. So, the EMP is supposed to solve any awkward situation? We go directly from fighting Zzzax to fighting wendigos in foggy church yard? What is that? Worst of all, the easter egg at the end indicated that a sequel was in the works which will have the same terrible production values and stupid dialog.
rannynm This is am animated action thrill ride. Marvel heroes Ironman (Adrian Pasdar) and Hulk (Fred Tatasciore) battle a new villain named Zzzax (Dee Bradley Baker). However these two Characters have a long road ahead of them to become an unstoppable team. What is very unique about this film is the animation. When an action scene happens we see fantastic effects, like the dust when a character falls. They have bright blues and reds in this and it's electrifying. The writing is comic book style, we have the hero say a witty remark then, they fight, only to say another witty remark. It brings audiences back to the good old days of comic book lines and it's perfect for this setting. The characters are well established. Whenever you get two well known characters together, you get to experience entertaining interactions. My favorite character is Ironman / Tony Stark (Adrian Pasdar). He's a crime fighting, egotistical, billionaire. I enjoy Starks personality - a guy who is so full of himself and yet so likable. Plus when he has the Mark VII Iron suit on he's a powerful ally.My favorite scene is when Hulk and Ironman battle Zzzax for the last time. This is your big ending battle that every super hero fan looks forward to. It's everything I dreamed it would be and more. Also to top it all up, Hulk wears an Ironman Suit. The message of the story is, "Two heads are better than one." Hulk and Tony don't get along at first and they don't work well together. Half the time Hulk uses Ironman as a club. Soon they learn that they need to work together to conquer villains. I give it 5 out of 5 stars and recommend this to 5-12 year olds, because the kids will enjoy the action and the funny remarks from the characters. You can call some lines corny, but to me it reminds me of the comics I know and love. You can get it on DVD now.Reviewed by KIDS FIRST Film Critic Keefer B. Jesse Boland These Marvel, and DC animated movies have been really good over the past decade, each one a different style, and take on the characters, and the world. In DC this makes sense because they are so mixed up, and less "real" world. You understand if you read them. So these Marvel animated movies that are all unique, and either based on older graphic novels, or just a new story thought up to keep the current movie characters that are popular in the spot light between movies. This is the later, and very much about profiling the characters of Iron Man, and The Hulk the way that Disney wants you to see them at this time. The Hulk that you get in this is the same vocal version (that was originally the Grey hulk, but for convenience they joined later on as one) who is the lead in the new animated TV series Hulk and the agents of SMASH. The Iron Man that you get is the basic character you are used to from his cameos on The Ultimate Spiderman animated series, or the Hulk show I mentioned before, but he is very close to the Iron Man that you see in the movies so that you keep the image fresh, and are ready for more. The background is the strangest part of this movie. You are basically watching PC rendered animation evolution in each scene. You will have a cell shaded Hulk, or other character thrown into a derezzed background that seems like old PlayStation 1 or 2 graphics. Like the old Iron Man: Armored Adventures, the backgrounds just never feel finished. It is a strange HD splotches against a 32 bit canvass sort of feeling. In the end this is a good flashy bit of pretty lights, and sounds, and you will most likely still Enjoy most if not all of it yourself.
Darkwalker173 The animation in the movie was horrible. Although there might be some people out there who may like this type of animation, I am not one of them. The whole story was ridiculous and they completely failed in writing the Hulk. It makes me wonder if the people who wrote the story know anything about the Hulk in the first place. I had fewer problems with Iron Man, although it seems his armour is indestructible or something since it doesn't seem to even get scratched. Marvel needs to take a long serious look at its animation department and make some quick changes because they are way behind DC in overall animated film quality.
