AEthan1998 Before Stephen King's It, there were aliens who look like clowns! This movie has everything! The casting, the 80s special effects, the soundtrack, and more! The Chiodo Brothers did a fantastic job making this movie! You'll have a crazy good time for watching this movie!
contact-86263 But I shouldn't have ignored it. Those who have given it a low score perhaps don't really get it. It has everything: Killer Klowns (from outer space), lots of clown jokes, colourful sets, low budget, bad acting, outrageously obvious and stupid dialogue, and even some really bad overdubbing that doesn't match the visuals (e.g.: the store keeper). However, the world would be a very dull place indeed if it wasn't for movies like this. I've watched huge budget movies that I felt like walking out of (eg: Mad Max Fury Road, which I'll never watch ever again), but I never felt that way with this movie. One thing I will draw attention to as an extra plus is the special effects; long before CGI could be done on the budget of this movie, this has some good (for their time) effects. For that I give it a couple of extra points.
Leofwine_draca KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE is a cheesy, campy, B-movie horror flick of the 1980s that fits in well with the fellow likes of NIGHT OF THE CREEPS and THE BLOB. The story is simplicity in itself and concerns a troop of aliens who arrive on Earth disguised as the creepiest-looking clowns you'll ever see; their job is to go around town and kill and capture as many humans as possible. Truth be told, this is a film which doesn't make a whole lot of sense, and the human characters are very much left in the background. However, it's still a lot of fun, particularly triumphing in terms of the set design and excellent look of the villains themselves. Expect rubbery gore scenes, lots of vivid bright colours, John Vernon hamming up a treat, and lots of sheer weirdness on display.
pacolopezpersonal Anyway it does not seem to matter much.Killer Klowns takes part of the gang of "thuggish movies" like "The Rocky Horror Show","Gremlins" etc. This movie has the merit of being a surprise from start to the end. It's like a circus show where you do not know what's going to happen in the next minute. It is made with graceful rhythm and overflowing imagination, the idea is really original and has memorable gags never seen in other movies. It's the perfect movie to get away with, it makes you to forget your worries and enjoying a really good time.
