It has a solid love story and is very sensual...oh and there are vampires, too. It's not the scary, Jump horror that you might want...but the cinematography was really underrated. "I would have done anything to be with you. However insane"...it's almost as if Nicholas Sparks wrote a vampire movie.  No I wouldn't do that to my fellow horror movie fans...this is well worth a look!

alchemist2012 Let me begin by saying I am a big fan of Vampire Movies.... There are very few Vampire films I have not yet seen! I stumbled across this film on Amazon and the title made me think it was an olden classic. Nope!It's a great title (I am amazed it has not already been used already) but this film is just a young one made only 3 years ago! I expected it to be just another low budget vampire flick but I was deeply impressed... The story had me hooked from the beginning. The actors were good and had me transfixed also. The settings, the music, the dialogue......everything was ticking the right boxes for me in this film! The Vampires were attractive and there was plenty of nudity. I very much enjoyed it and I really hope the female director continues providing more films like this (this film being her first vampire/horror film). I couldn't help but notice just how well the film was made. I watched another vampire film recently that came very highly recommended (Only Lovers Left Alive) but Kiss Of The Damned is so much better than that one!! Highly recommended and if you are a Vampire Fan this one is one not to be missed and one to own. Enjoy!

When her trouble-making sister unexpectedly comes to visit, Djuna's love is threatened, and the whole vampire community becomes endangered.I did not pay as much attention to this film as I should have, but it had two things that jumped out at me that deserve recognition ,even if I am not ready to write a thorough review.One is Michael Rapaport. He does not get the respect he deserves and has not done nearly enough things. Someone please get this guy some Oscar-winning roles.And two is the style. I feel like Xan Cassavetes was inspired by Italian cinema, and this inspiration comes up in the style, the dialogue and even the casting. A wise decision on her part, and it is nice to see John Cassavetes' talent lives on in the next generation.

solidmark3 I got this expecting it to be nothing. I had to look up who the guy from Hero's was. I knew I recognized him! Anyway this is a sexy, dark great great great vampire movie. I was thinking about why I like it so much and if it was much like Twilight so people would say it sucked and etc. (I am a big fan of Twilight)I really don't know. I think I love that the vampires were trying to fight against their passion. (some of them) I think they showed the passions really well. I really loved the characters and thought they were excellent, all really good looking and sexy of course! The supporting character of the woman who owned the house was SO good!Lots of us can identify with that feeling, I really want to give myself over to this and I can't? I don't know. Lots of people want vampires to be this way or that way. I guess it's personal preference. I liked these vampires! Dangerous and beautiful.The only reason I didn't give it 10 stars was I thought the ending was a little flat. That's only because I wanted more more more of this movie!I hope you guys like it as much as I did.yours,FattyZ
