Synopsis

Fifteen years ago, Edwin went to clown camp to fulfill his lifelong dream of bringing laughter to the world... but nobody laughed. Humiliated on graduation night, Edwin viciously murdered the entire camp before vanishing into legend. Now, despite the warnings of the town drunk, old man Bonzo has reopened the ranch and a new class of clowns have unwittingly signed up. When their die-hard instructor Sgt. Funnybone (Miguel Martinez, The Donor Conspiracy) is found dead in a puddle of cream pie and blood, the curriculum changes from comedy to survival! Edwin slashes, stabs, strangles, and disembowels the clowns while laughing insanely at his own bad jokes.

Leofwine_draca KLOWN KAMP MASSACRE is your usual trashy, no budget set-up put out by Troma, although having watched it you'll wonder why they went to the effort. This is another film about the craze for killer clowns, and it's worse even than CAMP BLOOD, which is a yardstick I tend to use when making comparisons. The whole thing plays out as a dumb comedy, full of obnoxious overacting and zero laughs; the cheap directorial style gives the viewer a headache. Surely, by the law of odds, at least one or two scenes should have been mildly amusing, but no, not one laugh was raised here.
rstef1 What did I just watch? I expected a low budget slasher film, but ended up laughing, a lot. The film is a very funny and tasteless parody of slasher movies in general, and Friday the 13th in particular. It comes complete with the crazy guy warning the kids of the death curse at the lakeside camp (though this time it's a camp for clowns), the scary leitmotif that clues you into the fact that the killer is coming (a circus clown riff on the Fri. 13th ch-ch-ch, ka-ka-ka refrain), and plenty of gory murders of the camp's teachers and students, who stay in clown make-up and costume night and day, even during sex. Yes, it's that kind of movie. The sight gags here are as inspired as the ones from the movie Airplane! and some of the lines are funny as well. All the clichés of the slasher genre are cheerfully subverted with circus clown references. Most hit the mark, though due to the low, low budget, not every one works. But when they do, it is hilarious. The ending is very funny, but goes a bit off the rails, though I still liked it enough. The acting ranges from average to below average, but the inspired lunacy of the script keeps it all afloat. The directors/writers set a pace that lets you overlook the shortcomings and have a good time... complete with blood and guts.
james_depaolo What do you mean you have not seen Klown Kamp Massacre? Well, let me tell you what you are missing out on. This is the best Klown film yet. Better than Killer Klowns from Outer Space, 100 Tears, and all the other clown films. You get great humor, some fun nudity and a lot of blood. This film is just pure fun. You cannot watch this movie and not laugh and have a blast. You guys are so fast to take a date to a movie and spend 50.00 on something that you both will hate. This film you can buy for less than 20.00 and have a great time and watch it over and over with friends. The theme song alone is worth the price tag. They do the Klowny the 13th song. If you liked what Kung Fu Hustle did for karate films, you will love what these guys do for Klown horror. There are so many scenes that I want to talk about, but they are so beyond silly and awesome. Esp. the scene where one of the people run up a tree to hide from the killer klown. Support this film. This film has more heart than 99 percent of the crap pushes out and you give it billions.
