you_re_dead I found this movie charming. If you want to relax, to laugh and to live a love story...that's the movie. It's not a monument of smartness or intrigues...But the simplicity (at times), reality (other times), and the unexpected retorts ...are magnificent. Your heart is melting, your eyes are shining, and your face is smiling...I was conquered... The love story is much more "intelligent"...not the habitual one (he falls in love, she does it too but then come the problems)...this one is much more interesting ...there are fights and foolish things, contradictions and unexpected reactions, and even when there is sadness...there is a smile in it...Take your time and see it, especially if you are a romantic and funny person...but take your girlfriend/ boyfriend with you. You'll love it.
cenersys An overall fun story to watch, but the character played by Vivek should have portrayed some "heaviness" in himself, not just the one that Vivek played. But I guess this film was targeted for the young teenagers, which is why most adults don't appreciate it as much as the teenagers. Of course there is Big B, who plays one of the major characters, with lots of jokes and fun, but I guess the story lacks pretty much behind in scripts...some serious conversations should have taken place between the leading characters? Sunil Shetty and Diya Mirza are nice surprises though, and come to think about it, Diya Mirza herself would have suited more for the role of "Diya" than Aishwarya. Besides, I did not like the way Vivek was fooled because the whole fooling process doesn't explain why Aishwarya had to show strong affinity towards Sunil in front of Vivek himself. However, the songs merit credits - keep up!
Pankratz If you're expecting an epic like Devdas, well, this movie will disappoint you. But if you're just looking for a nice romantic comedy to pass the time, then this movie will do just that. It's delightful and charming, and will pull on your heartstrings at the right times too. Aishwarya Rai is stunningly beautiful as usual and she gives her character, Diya the right amount of vulnerability. Vivek Oberoi is endearing throughout the whole film. The strongest part of the film is the beginning, in my opinion. It progresses the fastest and most of the comedy is found there. I found the second half of the movie to be a bit slower. But don't worry, it's not slow enough to make your interest wane. Also, as a bonus, Amitabh Bachchan makes his appearance in the second half. Although the second half slows down a bit like I mentioned, it does lead up very well to the ending. I don't understand some of the comments made that Vivek and Aishwarya have no chemistry because I thought they had it in spades. Where this film succeeds is through the characters. The movie makes you care for them, and when they're happy, you're happy, and when they're sad, you're heartbroken for them. I highly recommend this film.
hellisotherpeople Terribly unfunny unromantic "romatic comedy"This is not the kind of role one was expecting from Aish after she had been so careful in selecting her movie roles in the recent past. The role seemed tailor made for your generic teenybopper bollywood actress.. not the actress from Devdas, HDDCS and Chokher Bali amongst others. Her costumes in some of the dances were shockingly bad.. She would do well to wear Indian costumes more than western ones,, she looks breathakingly gorgeous in the former and like any other bollywood actress in the latter.Vivek looked good but the role was so annoyingly juvenile and smug that it wld be hard to imagine a girl falling for him!Add to that, there was absolutely no chemistry between the lead playersAmitabh was incredibly annoying,, as was the whole orphanage plot line..The writers of this movie need a crash-course with Linda Seger asap.. what a poorly written script.. ( and vivek oberoi was partly responsible for the writing.. expected better from you vivek!)The less said about the direction the better..This will go down as one of the most forgettable movies of the year..And the most disappointing
