barrywebsteris Knew it would be dross before I even put the thing on. Complete waste of time & extremely boring throughout. The characters/acting is so awful you're actually glad when they get bumped off. Avoid.
cooleya-66547 Most Likely to Die does something that many horror movies - especially low budget horror movies - fail to do, and that is to give time to develop the characters. They are not all likable, by any means, but I was not necessarily rooting for them to die. One particular death I even found quite sad. As such, there are certain moments that make you think about the characters, what they are going through, and you ask yourself 'do they deserve this?'That said, there are a couple of major drawbacks to this film. The first is pacing. While I appreciate down time between major action, allowing scenes to breathe and providing time for character development, for a horror movie there was too much down time. Perhaps this is because it was trying to develop too many characters; perhaps it wanted to convey the weight of the situation and how the characters were dealing with it. But whatever the reason, there was too much open time, leading for the movie to drag. The second major drawback is that, for a horror movie, it is weak on the 'horror' aspect. While not every movie has to be littered with gore, the kills were weak at best. Considering who the killer is, some of them don't even make sense. There is minimal tension, kill rituals were brought up and dropped, the masked killer is completely non-threatening, and the kills (save for one) aren't very creative. All in all, this wasn't the worst horror movie I've ever seen. I'd probably put it on again for background noise, or if I want something that focuses more on the characters than the actual horror. However, if you are looking for a well-paced horror movie with creative kills, this is not the movie for you.
kosmasp Those cell phone receptions are terrible when it comes to horror movies. Not that most of the characters would have the brains to use their cell phone when they should. But boiling it down just to that would do injustice to all the things it gets wrong. Then again, if you don't mind cardboard characters cutouts acting on stuff and a very obvious twist, you may be able to enjoy this. The ending though ... wow! How crazy is that? But I guess they thought one last shock/twist and they'd win the audience over. I don't think they succeed in that and hopefully my cryptic description didn't make it sound way better than it actually is ... Don't watch it on behalf of that please! You'd hate me afterwards as much as you probably will hate most of the characters in this ...
andymerch The acting isn't horrible but the script is cringe worthy. For some reason there's a lot of poker and poker terms in it through out the movie, which okay one of the characters is a pro poker player but she acts guilty through the whole movie about it, it really doesn't make sense. The main issue about this movie is they are at the killers house the whole time which is suppose to be there friend, the guy never shows up. This doesn't stop the rest of the friends to just go on partying at this guys house until they find "Ashley" dead. Then they just mindlessly walk around while this guy kills them off. It's just bad, even for someone that likes pretty bad B-rated horror movies this is just horrible. More like Z-rated (yes I know that's not clever but this movie really deserves it)
