Synopsis

Mr. Rudolpho is an Italian fashion designer: Rich, famous, and depressed. Surrounded by luxury, monitored 24/7 by a security team, hated by the CEO of Rudolpho Inc., he’s a prisoner of success. Rudolpho’s been sketching something in his moleskin book for months, but nobody knows what it is. Turns out he’s making plans for suicide. Good timing, because the CEO is planning to bump him off. Rudolpho heads to Berlin for Fashion Week to end it all, with the killers not far behind. But, this being a Bright Blue Gorilla film, things don’t always go as planned... He’s thrown in with some off-the-grid artists - the Boheems - who have no idea who he is. Thinking he’s destitute, they invite him to stay. Meanwhile, cops, killers, reporters, and Interpol all search for him. Rudolpho, happy in his hide-out, is hanging with the Boheems - and maybe falling for one of them... MRJ is a surreal comedy romance, told by two “Musical Angels”, aka Bright Blue Gorilla as the Greek Chorus.

AriannaManetti The movie is about a love story but is also a comedy, a musical with a bit of suspance. Everything is very well mixed together and it literally sticks the audience to the screen. You really should watch this movie!
Jay H The best comparison to films with big releases is probably Wes Anderson's films. It's funny and good-hearted with charming characters, good acting and music. The plot is engaging and whimsical without going as far as screwball. There's a message, but you're not beaten over the head with it too much. It's difficult in comedies to find a good balance between taking the plot too seriously and abandoning the comedy or just tacking jokes onto a bunch of stuff that doesn't make sense or come together and this film finds a good mid-point.
Clark Nesselrodt Mr. Rudolfo's Jubilee sets a new high bar for Bright Blue Gorilla's fun, quirky and fresh productions, while representing a new echelon of smart, quick, feel-good cinema that modern times demand. Tongue-in-cheek nods from the director leave you laughing out load before a line of dialog has been spoken. Elements of farce keep you on the edge of your seat. And, colorful, bohemian overtones bring depth to a rock-solid script which weaves multiple languages in a work of art as pleasing to the ear as it is the eye, intellect and soul. A genuine must-see!
questryogi Mr. Rodolpho's Jubilee is a wonderful movie!The acting is brilliant and the story line is intelligently funny! I have seen this movie a few times and the nuances of the humor and the depth of the main characters always leaves me laughing with a smile! Michael Glover's intimacy with the human state of mind and the broader view of life brings a delightful vision of a film to life! I saw "Go with L'Flo" , another of their movies, which also brilliantly plays on the human condition, between the sexes...also very funny! Our whole family enjoys their films!..I can't wait to see what they come up with next.
