Dhamo Dharan In the recent past this was my favorite movie in Tamil. I forgot myself for 2 1/2 hours. I enjoyed the film like anything. Very good timely jokes, story, screenplay. Hats of to the director & the team. Those who know Tamil never miss to watch this film. As an audience we like to watch films like this only. All budding directors must watch this film, this film teaches us many things for the film industry. cent percentage concentration on the story and script matching apt to the story. Now a days we are finding difficult to get films like this with good story & screenplay. Dialogues were more enjoyable. Those who are reading reviews and still not watched the film... please watch today.....
Shanmuga Prakash The storyline revolves around 1980's in a remote village and the villagers thought of taking a photograph will lead to eventual death and a bad omen. The story is very good and links the fate of the photographer with the villagers and he falls in love with a girl who is already engaged to another person. The tricks played by the photographer to marry the girl are epic comedy. All the sequences in the movie are good and will make us to laugh. Every scene of this movie makes us to laugh and nothing else. A very good screenplay and direction is an added advantage for this movie. A must watch movie for all audiences, especially for people who love to laugh from the beginning to the end.
SivakumarBalachandran People's life span will reduce and die early if they were clicked a picture with a camera this superstitious belief of a village called #Mundasupatti emerging kind of a "Camera Phobia" among the villagers forms the base story line of this Rom - Com Tamil flick named after the village name "Mundasupatti" - strictly photography prohibited.Interesting plot and the way the movie starts from 1947 when a meteorite research British scientist visits the village and who pictures people and eventually starts the phobia spree. #Director #Ramkumar (#Nalaya #Iyakunar fame - a reality show hunting for new direction talents for Tamil cinema) has narrated this story in a humorous way. But as a matter of fact he could have cut short some portions in between the movie where it gets slightly dragged and tedious because nothing much to add up to the story of a simple love struggle in a village. Also couldn't avoid remembering "VPVS" at some places. On the casting side #Vishnu Vishal plays the lead as Gopi the photographer with his assistant Azhagumani played by Kaali Venkat. They both have played it well and justified their roles. #Nandita of #Ethir #neechal and #Attakathi fame plays the normal village girl the love interest of the hero who hesitates at the same time loves the hero fits the role perfectly. The story is supported by too many turban heads in the movie. After a long gap we were able to see #Anantha #raj on screen. Technical side of the movie the cameraman has created the ambiance of 1980's through his lens but don't know why he missed the complete glare and cloudy sunglasses and spectacles he and his assistant wears through out the movie. To mention on the Music department "Idhu enna" was a nice melody.Over all we come out with satisfaction of getting into a comedy entertainer but not as exaggerated and touted by the reviews which made me think this will be the one stop laughter destination. Didn't meet that stand. An above average comedy movie.Rating 2.5/5 Reviewd by Sivakumar Balachandran ([email protected])
Sathesh S Mundasupatti - A period comedy film fairly executed. The story starts with the photographer who goes into a village where localities believe photography as evil and no one has posed any photo ever since long time. The photographer sees the heroin in a school and falls in love at first sight, but doesn't get a chance to meet her again. Then he goes into this village for work and finds her again there. There dramatic events that happens after that and how he marries the girl is the remaining story. The music by Sean Roldan is surely a highlight to this movie. It BGM complements the screenplay very smoothly without interfering much. The comedy tracks by Kaali Venkat and Ramdoss who comes as Muniskanth who is tries to become a hero has worked out very well and keeps the audience engaged. But the love scenes in the early second half is slightly boring and reminds the fact that the main plot of the movie comes from a short film script and those scenes are added as a part to elongate and stuff the script to make it long enough for a feature film.
