roniksharma We all were excited when we heard the Ajay Devgan-Emraan Hashmi crime thriller was getting a sequel. But before entering the theater, keep your expectations down. This isn't Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara. This isn't your crime edge of the seat thriller. It's a love triangle between a prince-a starlet-and an evil king. The prince is essayed by Imran Khan. Well, we didn't know what came over Ekta Kapoor on casting him. He is one of the weakest parts of the movie. His acting won't make you root for him.The starlet is Sonakshi Sinha. She is just the woman stuck between 2 gangsters. This isn't her big milestone in acting. She has done an average performance. The evil king is the talented Akshay Kumar! Believe me, he saved a worthless dumb story movie with his acting skills. This is one of those movies where instead of rooting for their hero, you're wanting the trophy to be handed to the villain.Other performances by Sonali Bendre, Mahesh Manjrekar, Abhimanyu Singh all are average. The songs were very pleasant to the ears. Best ones were "Yeh Tune Kya Kiya", "Chugliyaan" and "Tu Hi Khwahish"Remember, this isn't your crime thriller movie. It's a romantic one. Buy your popcorn and watch this for Akshay Kumar only...
me_davesh awesome movie.. great performances by Akshay and Imran.. Akshay suits the character well. as soon as the movie starts you go with the movie and never get bored. starting from the music, performances, story everything is good. I should have watched the movie in the first day only..:(.. much better than crap movie Chennai Express. Akshay rocks as usual and Imran also has done a good job in the movie. Hats off to Akshay and Imran..love it...:) enjoyed the movie throughly. dialogues are punched very well. When you leave the theatre, you keep thinking about Akshay's dialogue. I am sure you are definitely going to start speaking these dialogues as its very touchy..Going to watch once again because it is again..
sg1645 After Watching Blockbuster Chennai Express I watched OUATIMD and I think that Chennai Express was really very good. But OUATIMD really bad.Main point is- Wrong Casting & Bad acting. This film is advertised as a underworld crime thriller, which it is not, it's a love story. There are no underworld criminal moves or action, minimal story is dragged and Akshay is misfit in this powerful role. They all speak in punchlines, especially Akshay Kumar, who seems to be hamming it up here. Akshay kumar suits more in comedy then in this type of role.Imran khan did his well in Romantic scene but as a gangster he never match. The sequel should have had Emraan Hashmi to continue his role, the dialogues suits him better, story should have portrayed more of the 70's feel which was not present. like in the prequel. If You Love Your Time and Money, Don't Watch This Movie.
Vikask Kumar ..movie is really good awesome dialog actor....great acting...nice story good creation of 7o's Mumbai...music is also good...must watch movie looking so classy... khan does his job really good........this film is different from its first part. .... story - One deadly don. One young protégé. Both in love with the same starlet. Who wins the girl in this felonious feat?Once Upon a Time... Bollywood movies were enamored by dreaded D's of the underworld. They still are. Whether the story is told in retro-rap, or with stylish designer double Dons, or with gloss-free rawness of realism. This endless 'lawless' love affair continues. In , a love triangle forms the bloodline of the story, replete with , molls with and an overkill of 'loaded' dialogs dialogs.
