Arun RC Peruchaazhi is an out and out logic-less entertainer which entertains at most parts. The crew themselves ask us to keep our mind switched off to watch this movie.Peruchaazhi is the story of Jagannathan(Mohanlal), who is a politician in Kerala. He gets an assignment to help John Kory to win in the California Governor election. Jagan and his friends(Aju & Baburaj) reach America and then they helps John to increase his ratings. Will this help John's victory? Will Jaganathan and his ideas become successful? From the plot itself, its clear that the movie is completely a logic-less one. The crew were trying for a complete festival entertainer and they became successful in that at parts. First half was good with a lot of comic numbers and all from the lead cast. But while coming to second half, the script lost its power. Post interval, movie becomes just an average flick. The main saving grace of the movie is Mohanlal's energetic performance. His comic timings and charisma makes us remember the vintage Lalettan. Supporting cast, Vijay Babu, Mukesh, Aju Varghese, Baburaj etc also did their job well. The English actor in the role of John Kory also was good and funny. Heroine Ragini Nandwani was OK, but the character was and the love track was unwanted. Here comes the positives and negatives.Positives*Mohanlal's energetic performance. *Titles(Especially for Mohanlal Fans). *Good performance from the supporting cast.Negatives*Second Half. *Climax. *Love Track.
Aravind Prasannan Well, you rate movies based on what it tries to be. You can't compare a wanna be Shawashank Redemption to a wanna be American Pie... Just because they're of two very different leagues. So, here's a movie that's not to be taken too seriously, and you'll enjoy it...Mohanlal's done many good movies in the past. This one's a bit different in it's presentation, but still is pure form of hero worship...Pros - 1. Lal's charismatic performance and mannerisms. 2. Comedy department - headed b Mukesh, Baburaj, Aju Varghese and Lalettan himself. 3. BGM - Gave a good feel and elevated the mood. 4. A few references to Lal's yesteryear hits/flicks. 5. Some dialogues where the "I" the protagonist refers to is the actor himself, more than the character. 6. The first half and interval punch. 7. Enough scope for claps and whistles throughout the movie.Cons - 1. The second half is not as enjoyable as the first and is a wee bit predictable. 2. The heroine's subplot starts to give a bad feeling initially (but is elevated by the fight that follows). 3. A few scenes in between may not be digestible to everyone. 4. There are one or two words uttered by Lal himself that should've been muted.Verdict - A perfect outing with friends, a paisa vasool entertainer, that lives up to the promos...
arunraj2600 Movie was awesome and was a mass entertainment It had a nice story line which impressed me and contains awesome comedy Which Makes u laughIt was about politics Baburaj rocks too The movie has a nice script And made me travel through my favorite city USA. Fans cheers when the hero hits the dialog Movie brought a old hero duologue's from all of his old hits This movie offers you the best festival meal for this festival It is recommended to watch this movie in theater because it's a awesome movie Songs too was awesome And the movie had roles for 3 Hollywood actors which makes movie more better and it was shot in the famous studio of Hollywood, the universal studios which makes fans more proud and it's the first Malayalam movie to be shot in universal studios
Aswin R Nair Mohanlal delivers an energy packed performance with his exceptional comic timings and dialogue delivering skills. The actor once again proves his capability to perform any character without any flaws. Mukesh shines as the cunning politician and the role is absolutely a cakewalk for the actor. Vijay Babu deserves a special applause for his matured acting skills. Baburaj, Aju Varghese and Ramesh Pisharody are fine in their roles; but the over dosage of adult jokes makes their act look weird after a point. Ragini Nandwani, makes a decent debut as Jessy ; but her chemistry with Mohanlal in the romantic scenes looks odd at places. The rest of the cast did justice to their roles. Peruchazhi, is engaging at some places, shows some real flaws also. Arun Vaidyanathan succeeds in bringing out the real comic elements from the actors; but fails in molding a real political satire on screen. As a result, the movie looks artificial at places. Arvind Krishna's cinematography is outstanding. Vivek Harshan's editing makes the movie slim without any irrelevant contents. Arrora's songs are disappointing. But the background score is good and completely sinks with mood of the movie.
