Biggy Menta Animated movies have that something inside that makes them special more than any other movies available on the film market. The movie Pixies tells the story of an average mechanic named Joe Beck who just wants to live in peace. For a long time his life seems to be fairly alright until mysterious things turn his life upside down. The only downside that I'm detecting is that the story could have had more combat and action scenes. Even though the main audience involves kids it still could be more suspenseful. As an example Harry Potter was a fantasy book and yet it still contained some violence in its workings. Though it will still be loved by children and cartoon enthusiasts.
Sarah Atkins The Pixies Movie is extremely entertaining especially for an animated movie, which is something quite unexpected. It follows the story of Joe Back who works as a mechanic at an auto shop whose life turns upside down the moment some evil-behaving pixies show up. For a while Joe, who is the main character thinks he must be losing his mind, until he realizes that Sam the pixie is ultimately responsible for his problems, but then everything changes because Joe loses his girlfriend thanks to the pixies. At this point it's up to Joe to stop the endless cycle of back-and-forth fights between him and the pixies, and get his life back. Cinematography was excellent in the film and the characters were all colorful and it added to the project. Most movies have a moral or a lesson to be learned, and the Pixies film is the same in that regard. In this story the characters learn from their mistakes, and the greatest moral to learn is that revenge is never the answer to a dispute between two parties. Therefore the Pixies is a great movie to watch and it's good for a very family friendly audience.
panta-4 Pixies are mythical creatures of folklore, and are believed to inhabit ancient underground ancestor sites such as stone circles, barrows, dolmens, ringfort or menhirs. In traditional regional lore, pixies are generally benign, mischievous, short of stature and attractively childlike; they are fond of dancing and gather outdoors in huge numbers to dance or sometimes wrestle, through the night! Now, about this animated movie written and directed by Sean Patrick O'Reilly - nothing in it is like that. Humorless, bullying pixies and bland characters! I understand that there is a need to have more independent animation , but this movie was a pure waste of time! Bad dialogue, terrible computer animation, awful sound effects, and a story which had a bad, almost sour ecological taste. I do not think that a story line about vengeance could be in any way kid friendly, even though they tried to fix everything at the end. I would rethink an intention to show this animation to any of the kids in my family! I was most of the time annoyed by the pixies and I could not understand why would someone even categorize this movie as a children's movie.
randy-75749 We all enjoyed the humor, the Pixies and the great ending. Christopher Plummer stole the show as the Pixie King and it is a movie we'll be watching again and recommending to others! My kids are now out in the backyard looking for Pixies.I think I can relate to poor Joe as he is an everyman. I used to work with my dad in his garage as a mechanic but I never could get the hang of it. I'm now in IT (my fingers are probably blocker than even Joe's) and it was great seeing the relationship the father/son had.I think there needs to be more independent animation as all I ever see is the Penguins of Madagascar or other heavily-marketed ad campaigns. This movie had a heart that was filled with love and still beats strong with me.
