dst-thomas This is a romantic comedy suitable for viewing by males. That said, you know what you're in for. In that regard, there's a pretty heavy-handed metaphor at the end of the script, and the film contains a pretty, original song. I also enjoyed the gimmick of the hapless psychic, made obvious when Laura finally does spill the coffee on her shoe.I love this film, and I would like to add that the DVD version has some deleted scenes that are well worth watching. I usually find this feature to be a waste of time, but there have been a couple of films ("Josie and the Pussycats" and most notably, "Gladiator" come to mind) where you get to "finish the film" yourself by watching the deleted scenes.

mix-3 I saw this one on a flight from Copenhagen to Chicago. As the name as well as the protagonists were unknown to me I didn't know what to expect. I was extremely pleasantly surprised. The movie is light but by no means shallow. The humor (which there is plenty of) is fresh and unique. Although several things are made fun of, nothing is really disparaged. I was disappointed reading the "external reviews" and how little those critics thought of the movie. In my humble opinion this movie is an outstanding comedy that is worth much more than it has received credit for.

bicks It's no wonder that this movie won the "best International Premiere" at the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival in 1999. This movie - although low budget, is a warm hearted look at a man's journey to find love. Tim Daly as Jesse is Witty and charming. Laura Leighton as Anabeth steals every scene she's in. She's not only stunninly beautiful, but also very talented. It's a shame that most of her scenes are in flash back mode. Melora Hardin, Mimi Rodgers, Jami Gertz and Olivia D'abo also do fine jobs as Jesse's old flames. One word to finnish - the finale scenes with Anabeths photo's will have you laughing till there's no tomorrow!

George Parker "Seven Girlfriends" is an unusually fresh and creative light comedy centered on one man and the many women in his life, past and present. The flick is technically and artistically a journeyman effort with a solid distaff which trods gently upon its humble protagonist. A little herky-jerky with lots of flash backing, "Seven..." is full of surprises with little to fault. A good video watch for guys and gals in the mood for a light hearted comedy which celebrates the foibles of heterosexual relationships.
