aaronbir This movie was full of heavy dose of laughter entertainment Songs are really impressive storyline is superb screenplay is outstanding Akshay Kumar is the best hero in this movie he has done amazing Katrina is superb sonu is awesome neha is great om puri is good other artists are excellent Editing and direction are both brilliant Overall my rating is 8/10 or 4/5 stars
legend_killer0123 This movie is a good entertainer but once again its a remake of a Hollywood film. The storyline resembles Jackie chan's miracles. Akshay kumar's performance was good which i think made the film a hit. The songs are fine but i think its time that bollywood directors use their own brains. Vipul shah should have tried to change the storyline. The ending was stupid. I guess "too much cooks spoil the broth". i heard that they r now planning to make a sequel. I don't see how the story will move further but i hope that this time the story will not be copied. i would recommend this film to everyone because its a family entertainer but don't expect something extraordinary because its a light hearted comedy.
Avinash Patalay Story/ Screenplay/ Script:: Long story short - its gone to dogs. End result, the movie is "all form - no beer".This movie is an another example to prove that star-power coupled with marketing can set the cash register on fire (mini-me of Om Shanti Om?). Overseas I am sure, it has raked moolah in loads. Akki proves that he is second to none when it comes to punching above one's weight. Akki-Katrina:: Undoubtedly, they share a sizzling chemistry.Om Puri/ Kiron Kher/ Ranvir Shorey:: These names are synonymous with "powerhouse of talent". It would be an "understatement" to mention that they were grossly under-utilised.Javed Jaffery:: Why Javed why? Vipul:: You were fantastic as a director in "Namaste London", why on earth did you hand over the reigns? Anees Bazmi:: Suggest you go back to writing or follow Priyan's footsteps (of remaking South movies viz. "No Entry"). Needless to say, it would be blessing to the audience.
samirindya143 The title of this movie should have been Santa Singh(Akshay Kumar) and Banta Singh(Om Puri) because there is nothing as a king in this movie. First half is entertaining and the second half is just dragged.Happy Singh(Akshay Kumar) is the do-gooder who tries to help any and everyone, even if it means engaging with ruthless killers and mafia kingpins. He leaves his village and sets off for Australia to bring back a bunch of bonny sardarjis to their wailing moms and dads. So what if the Sardar brotherhood has metamorphosed into a mafia gang in distant shores, headed by two chalk-and-cheese brothers (Sonu Sood and Jaaved Jaffrey). Happy Singh is here to browbeat them onto the path of goodness, ek baar phir. One by one, the rogues undergo their life-changing experience -- calling for some rowdy fun and games - and end up reformed souls. The film has an entertaining first half which sees some great camaraderie between the village boys, Om Puri and Akshay Kumar. The second half does get cluttered, clumsy and loose with loads of wasted talent in the likes of Ranvir Shorey, Javed Jaffrey and a side-lined Om Puri. Even some of the songs get deafening and inarticulate in a bid to celebrate Punjabiyat. Om puri has done a great acting, but Akshay is disappointing, not at his best as he has done in 'Bhool Bhuliya' and other movies. Don't go looking for king-size entertainment and this King con might just end up as breezy time-pass.
