anmael Decent character driven stories. There were definitely some times where it seemed like the writers got a bit lazy though. For instance, the Squad have a philosophical discussion about how all of the evil they have done and the lives they have takes would likely condemn them all to hell, then immediately thereafter Killer Frost Freezes a security guard to get into a building and for no real reason Harley walks up and knocks his frozen head off, like the conversation about redemption never happened. What was even funnier was when DeadShot said after the next action scene that so far they hadn't killed anyone...huh? People were being killed left and right in this thing...Also, Copperhead is fighting to win the day near the end and Waller blows him up with his implanted explosive as collateral damage to get Killer Frost. This didn't even give the team pause that Waller treated him as so expendable that in the service of HER goals while fighting for HER cause, he was used as just a disposable weapon. It seemed as though they should all have assumed they would be next. That REALLY seemed lazy...Entertaining, but could have used another once-over for logical continuity:)
marcosariasf The worst animation work I've seen. Empty scenes, bad movements, static cameras. How the hell can anyone say that this was a good movie?the only thing in this movie that can be highlighted as good is the script
garethvk The deadly, demented, and dangerous, and dysfunctional Task Force X has returned in "Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay". The new animated film from Warner Bros Home Entertainment features the voice talents of Christian Slater, Vanessa Williams, Greg Grunberg, Tara Strong, and many others in an adult themed story which should delight fans of the series who thought the PG-13 approach of the live action film did not do the series the proper treatment they believed was due.The worst of the worst have been recruited to recover a mysterious artifact and thanks to the explosives implanted in their heads; their control and compliance is expected.Deadshoot, Harley Quinn, Copperhead, Captain Boomerang, Killer Frost, and others set out to complete their mission despite their usual issues with authority, the world, and each other. Naturally they are not unopposed as Captain Zoom, Banshee, and others stand in their way.As the team fights others and amongst themselves, the body count piles up as this is not a kid's movie and the blood and bullets fly frequently. The animation and voice acting is first rate as you would expect from Warner Bros and the large cast works very well bringing their characters to life and infusing them with a complexity which is deeply engaging. In another triumph for the studio, the movie delivers all that fans expect and more and let us hopes we will be seeing Task Force X again in the very near future.4 stars out of 5
James Wright This is a fun little adventure that doesn't live up to the heights of the first animated Suicide Squad film, Assault on Arkham, but certainly stays truer to the spirit of the comics than the live action version. The best part of this film is probably how it adds to the ongoing animated DC universe. There are lots of moving parts to the story and the introduction of some new characters, while the expected few also play a major role. Without going into spoilers you will definitely want to check this film out if you have been following the developing world spread across these movies.Overall this is a fun adventure that sticks to the spirit of the squad, there are a lot of great characters, actions and deaths to keep any fan happy, and the steaks stay relatively high throughout.
