tank_ghirl This was a great Thriller film, in that it had half of the elements of the thriller. Flashbacks, drunk exes, sick fantasies, hunting rifles and wine cellars. You barely spend 15 minutes getting to know them before they say the famous, "One Year Later". A great movie to watch with college buddies. Its amusing because they don't start you off with a plot line and just throw you right into the movie. For those of you whom take their movies with a splash of drunken freakish adventure, this one is for you. But definitely watch this with friends. Its quite quotable. This is a movie about seven sins involving sex. Incest, rape, infidelity, hypocrite, prostitute, homosexuality, and prostitution. How they are going to pay for their sins.
weberpr Taboo is the story of 6 college friends played by (Nick Stahl, Eddie Kay Thomas, Derick Hamilton, Amber Benson, Lori Heuing and January Jones) who agree to play a game of Taboo, but when questions and answers arise that show there true colors, a friendly game turns to seduction, betrayal and murder. Very well done, suspenseful and depressing. Well acted I haven't seen a bad film with Nick Stahl he is a very talented actor and it's good to see Amber Benson in a movie role. This film keeps you guessing there is a twist at every major part in this film, I have heard others disagree and say it was poorly done but I think because the build up is half the movie, peoples attention span fades.
s-mak The producers love to take the credit for things well done, and slip behind the guise of lack of accountability when movies fail. This movie falls into the latter category. It is an example of what can happen when the producers limit all artistic control of anyone who reports to them. Heck, as stated at Sundance, the director did not even have an opportunity to see the movie after shooting until Sundance! I think this movie should be a lesson to all producers about what not to do:if you hire a director with a history of success, trust them, let them direct. For people aspiring to become directors: learn what can happen if you foresee no artistic freedom under a producer. For movie-goers who love movies, stay away from this one.
dale-h Don't waste your time or money on this one. The half decent cast might fool you into thinking that this teen-thriller, whilst hardly about to break any records, might lightly entertain for 80 minutes. It won't.It won't make you scared, laugh, cry or even challenge your intellect. It will leave you wondering how on earth this movie ever finished production. Yes, it really is that poor.
