dw7197460 Some may say that this movie is "un-realstic". Sure it is, but thats part of what makes it entertaining. Not all of these girls are stuck-up-rich-brats. Dorinda is a foster child with a very good heart. Chanel is not completely stuck up & is still there for her friends. Aqua is an interesting character in the first movie & Galleria is semi- stuck up. You still have to remember that in the first movie they are suppost to be freshmen. With this, do you expect them to be totally mature? Overall, the Cheetah Girls send a great message out to young girls. They celebrate eachothers differences & show girls that you don't have to conform to a certain stereotype to be pretty. None of them are stick thin, but none of them are extremely overweight... well Raven was a little but she is not a Cheetah Girls anymore. They are different races, have different family lifestyles, and all this & are still best friends. This movie has a message of accepting people for who they are & not judging. It also encourages girls to go for their dreams. Most importantly now its showing girls not to conform to stereotypes. Like I said, none of them are stick thin & they are all different, yet they are all beautiful. I think that this is so important with the society we have today, constantly pressuring girls to look a certain way. Sabrina Bryan, Kiely Williams & Adrienne Bailon are great actors & singers & also outstanding role models. This movie is the best Disney movie ever. In the movie they might not seem like the best role models, but in real life, the use their fame wisely and are amazing role models.
mussicmann42 Now, I don't comment on a lot of things. Especially not movies like this, but I'd like to say what I have to say. This movie is terrible...horrible acting, cheesy storyline, it was also confusing to understand. It was like a mess of scenes jumbled together in movie format. The songs are just...ugh...I don't even have a word for them. They don't really make sense, and obviously this movie is aimed at 6 year old girls.Whatever happened to the OLD Disney? Like Zoog? Sister Sister, Boy Meets World, Even Stevens, and the older D.C.O.M.S such as Brink!, Halloweentown, Johnny Tsunami, Quints, and many others. They need to bring back the good shows, and quit showing terrible movies like this.
Bradley Baum This is another made-for-TV film and as such is a film that is not high on intellectual output but, if you just sit down and as with Charlies Angels 1 and 2 (the ones with Cameron Diaz, Bill Murray etc.) leave your brain at the door and just enjoy the film for what it is (which is a film about four mid to late teens trying to make it big as self-choreographed (by one of the group members) singers in the music industry) then you should have no problem liking or even loving the film. The film centres on four teenagers (the characters' ages not the actresses) but around them is the usual thoroughfare that is seen in these types of films. There was the unscrupulous record boss that wanted to change them and their style. There was the mother/manager that against her better judgement allowed her daughter and the group to almost get done by him and there was the silly ending that brought the girls back together after one was even less willing to follow the boss's ideas even more than the other three and walked away from the group. The other three eventually decided she was right and also left but by then the group was no more until the silly ending that is. Knowing and accepting that it was following the usual plot lines for this type of film meant it could be enjoyed and yes the second one was better but this one was by no means as bad as others have made it out to be. 8 out of 10 for me.
webhead1731 This movie was terrible. I was expecting something average because it's Disney Channel, but what I saw, blew me away. It was so bad. I can't understand how it was so well-liked by girls or guys. The songs were trash, the acting was terrible, and that was not a story. The ending was just the worst part. The dog is stuck in a hole, and they get it out by singing? That was bad. I don't understand that. This, in my opinion, is the worst movie on TV. The second one looks no better. Don't waste your time. Bad movie. My score: 1/10
