mikesheraton Genius Club is the most emotionally moving film I have ever seen. It delves deeply into one of the worst human fears, losing the ability to move and function, but it's never forced or manipulative, and there's no heavy-handed message or moral. It's just a fascinating story that's beautifully told, especially as you get to know the characters.The acting is as good as you will ever see. Tom Sizemore deftly handles all the emotional and physical challenges of his role, and Stephen Baldwin demonstrates convincingly that he is an actor, not just a comedian. Baldwin is perhaps a bit too nerdy at first, but he captures perfectly all the hope, fear, exhilaration, and anguish that a pizza boy in that situation must be experiencing. Genius CLub is based on actual world events, and, to me at least, real events are always more powerful than even the best fiction.I like escapist fare as much as the next guy, but once in a while, everyone should see a movie that you will remember and think about for a very long time. Genius Club deserves to be at the top of your list of movies to see.

Kellyowens-312-636335 In our world helping other people is perhaps the most important we can do. People are the ones who often teach us how to behave in certain unpleasant circumstances. Like 7 geniuses trying to solve these horrible problems. It is not only a moving story but everybody who sees this film stops for a moment or more and think over the meaning of life. One of the best American films I have ever seen with lots of good actors. Baldwin and Helfer are wonderful. In secondary schools it should be a compulsory part of education. I am a teacher and when I want to talk about these topics I always choose this film and students find it a very good example, too. It has not got a happy ending like it often happens in life. It is not a stupid story, it gives us lots of extras. When I first watched it, at the end of the film I was full of emotions and just could not sleep for a while. To put it into a nutshell: Try it and pay attention to The Genius Club.

kimberlygonzalez I've seen this movie several times, and I have never even gotten tired of it. It does deal with college books, but approaches it with a level of sophistication and intellect never found before in sci-fi movies. Genius walks a very fine line between reality and the comic-book world, at the same time walking a very fine line in terms of audience perception. Some chalk it up to be a silly comic-book movie, others a brilliant intellectual movie. And yet, there are still others that maintain Genius Club theme does not exactly make it a world-issue movie. It's more of a drama, just like the Sixth Sense was more of a drama than a horror movie. Both are excellent dramas, but Genius CLub was superior in every aspect.I especially admired the camera movement, and the framing of certain scenes to bring to life an actual comic-book. I also admired how Genius was heavy on dialogue, making full use of subtle gestures, movements, and actions to represent the character's thoughts. The character's environment plays a similar role and certain colors are often brought up to represent distinct emotions and thoughts the character has.In the end, there are a number of things in this movie that can cause people to quickly denounce the movie, but these are all dependent upon perspective, as there's nothing truly wrong with the movie. In fact, if viewed objectively and with an open mind, the viewer might be much more apppreciative of Genius CLub.

kayreffner The movie was directed fairly well and all he actors were very good at their roles, however i thought the ending was a twist and wasn't easily expected because of how the movie was going. Most of the movie was predictable but it's the kind of predictable that you want to keep watching because of how the movie flows and brings you into it. I think this movie is great for emotional people. like i said it brings you into the story and the ending credits are pretty cool also. I heard a few people cry at parts of this movies and many people clapped.I think most people will enjoy watching it but only emotional people could really connect to it.This movie really shows the importance of faith and support. If u have a strong family backing n have full faith in yourself then nothing's impossible. It gives u that extra bit of encouragement when u just need to go and push your limits a little more.-kykyd
