areatw I remember the first time I saw 'The Iron Giant' as a young kid, it had me completely hooked and it was probably my favourite film for a short while. There is genuinely something special about this film that you just don't find in most animated kids films. It has a big heart and a touching storyline that is so much better than the artificial and meaningless animated features Hollywood continues to mass produce. There is something about hand-drawn animation in general that really appeals to me. It seems that with everything now computer generated / digitally designed, hand-drawn animation is on its way out, though this only makes films like 'The Iron Giant' even more special. I love everything about this film and would highly recommend it. This is more than just an animated film for kids, it's a wonderful story and a film I will always remember fondly from my childhood.
maxlovstedt This heartwarming film shows the great talent of director Brad Bird in every way.
Red_Identity This is classic cinema, a throwback to films that only relied on great writing and voice acting. The film is simple but incredibly well-told and effective, told in a period that is rare for animation. The film captures the distinct feeling of the Cold War and it's never immature or "childish" while still being accessible to people of all ages.
Dante's Peek This gotta be one of the best animated movies I have ever watched in my entire life of movie watching. You can watch this over and over again without getting bored. And every time I have watched, it makes me cry the ending. How an intelligent life from outer space is displayed within a robot that has a soul is indeed a fascinating idea on whoever wrote this. We should have more of this in the current era seriously. This, Ratatouille, WALL-E and The Incredibles. They have similarities of a nice evening of drama in fantasy. Don't miss out on any of them and show your kids this warm stuff.
