zoltronbooth This movie suffers from constant close ups that fail to create a sense of intensity, retracts its own story elements multiple times, repeats itself constantly, and uses absolute darkness to a hopelessly annoying degree. Any attempt it makes at representing PTSD is downplayed by awful filming and plot confusion. The acting itself is good, though the characters those actors are portraying are all irrational and have no good motivations for why they do half the things they do.Expect to be confused even if you follow the plot closely, and to hate multiple characters constantly.
dafuror My title says it all. He is a weak willed pacifistic good for nothing but platitudes and empty promises spineless twit. Everything bad happens to her, she is solely responsible for taking care of herself and, in the end, he is bound and determined to deprive her of closure. Unfortunately most of the dialogue is (in the english version at least) is indecipherable.
clintstevens What did I just watch? It was a warning to never travel in foreign lands unless you are in a large tour group...no, that wasn't it.It was about extraterrestrials who have come to earth to observe humans...no, that wasn't it.It was about the persecution of members of the Muslim faith...no, that wasn't it. It was a warning for Western Europeans to never date Eastern Europeans...no, that wasn't it.It was to remind people that a stroll in the forest can be a real blast...no, that wasn't it.It was to show how Serbians and Bosnians will never live together peacefully...no, that wasn't it.It was to prove that reincarnation is a real possibility...no, that wasn't it.What did I just watch? I have NO freakin' idea.
moradbalifr Sadly, I am not surprised to see bad ratings here, certainly from people used to "stimulus-horror" movies, where you have to jump out of your sit each minutes in order to consider it as something nice. This movie is at the edge of the psychological thriller. It is really rooted in anguish, with a mysterious, dark and heavy atmosphere. The atmosphere is fed by many long single take tracking shots - no edits, no cuts. It contributes more than largely to the "breath-taking" feeling that the movie creates. The deep forest fits the story perfectly, and create a situation where everything can happen without anyone near to help. Add to this the fact that the story takes place in the Srebrenica massacre frame, we constantly wonder if the paranoia of the main character is legitimate or not. I highly recommend it, but avoid if you want blood and stimulus. Don't destroy its rating for any reasons, there is something great to watch here !
