trausti-hraunfjord This was not a low- budget film... this was a NO-budget film. The whole budget was only $3.000 and of course a whole lot of work for the people behind the project. I salute them for a job well done! Absolutely fantastic what can be done if one really wants to put one's energy and effort into it.I wonder what they could had achieved if the budget had been ten times or one hundred times bigger. I wish the whole team behind this all the best of luck for the future.... and hope to see more from them in the future (shouldn't be difficult for them to do more, since they don't need any money for a production... literally speaking :)To see the movie, go to theore.net/ and watch it for free. Those 20 minutes of your life are going to be better spent than with many multi million dollar movies.
gridsleep This is the essence of film making. Splendid camera direction, acting, and special effects. A very fine and sentimental story translated to the screen in the most minimal form. This could have been a two hour epic but that would have required an hour and forty minutes of meaningless fluff be inserted. Here is pure expression in motion. Find a copy of this and watch it. Small versions are available for download. Go to TheOre.net to obtain the DVD. This is independent film making at its finest. I look forward to further product from these talented people. I must say, though, that the minimum of ten lines of commentary with the threat of blockage from the IMDb site reminds me of the brainless and anally retentive psychology of the ultraconservative management who run my place of employment. These lines, of course, have nothing to do with the review of The Ore, but of my opinion of petty bureaucrats who attempt to shape reality into a form that suits their pea brained outlook on life.
