Horst in Translation ([email protected]) "The Portal" is a 2-year-old 11-minute live action short film written and directed by Jonathan Williams that was successful enough to be turned into a mini-series little later. I myself cannot really see the hype though. The story is nothing new though. A wizard arrives in today's world through a portal and, of course, quickly falls in love with a common business woman. The rest is a mix of comedy, fantasy and romance, but none of these 3 areas seemed very convincing at all. I also did not like the ending. Such a gigantic change in terms of story and this was simply not elaborated on well enough in my opinion. Pretty surprised this has such a high rating. I don't recommend the watch.
