kurciasbezdalas I've seen this film many years ago on TV and I remember that it made a huge impression on me. Today I watched it again, but I wasn't expecting much because I was maybe eight years old when I first saw this movie. Not only it was funny but it was also very interesting and also there was something magical about it that gave me such a worm feeling in my heart. I think that people who made it are really nice people. There is no jokes who could insult anybody (like most of the comedy films does) but it still was very funny, it's an innocent humor. Though there was some dirty jokes, I still think that this film is good to watch for all family. By the way - the stunts were great.
Benjamin Crawford Makes me wonder what other gems the Kids in the Hall have gone on to create.David FOLEY, perhaps the funniest Kid in the Hall, does a great job in this, and the funny scenes don't stop getting funnier until the funniest joke in the movie. You'll know it when you see it.The entire premise is wonderful, and all of the acting works very well. Everything is put together nicely ,as it should in a comedy, and the whole event feels like a super-extended Kids in the Hall sketch. After that, it just kind of levels off into 'entertaining funny' rather than 'sweet-jesus-you-gotta-see-this funny'.A great way to spend an hour and 30-something minutes.
kipconlon-1 While my grade of "10" is perhaps written in the heat of a happy moment, given what a comedy is supposed to do (and how utterly most fail), I stand by my 10. Wrong Guy's as silly as it is smart, and Dave Foley gives one of those performances that make me understand how people can get all weak kneed at the idea of Buster Keaton or Charlie Chaplin, etc. You're just so happy to be watching every little thing he does. At the end of the movie I almost wished I'd been more depressed before it, because I had left over joy from watching. Colm Feore perfect counterpoint as not the wrong guy. I loved it! Oh, I guess I need 10 lines of text. there! Wrong Guy so great!
rottenaddict Yes this film looks like it will be yet another terrible "dumb and dumber" type film but it really is rather well scripted and ...well down right funny. I am a huge Kids In The Hall fan but we got to see a few episodes of their series over here in the UK and that was it, i bought Brain Candy whilst in New York and and managed to tape a few of the KITH shows when they aired briefly over here in the mid 90's. I have searched for The Wrong Guy but it isn't available over here (like anything KITH related) but the BBC happned to show The Wrong Guy a couple of days ago and i laughed from the start to the end. It is s very simple idea for a film but it is made up of great little comedy moments that keep you laughing, even as a KITH fan i didn't expect it to be as funny as it was. Dave Foley really showed how great he can be as a writer and actor and how a simple idea can turn into something rather special, and that is what this film is SPECIAL. Watch this film if you get the chance and ..... start showing the KITH in the UK again or at least make the series available over here. 7 out of 10 Rotten Addict
