ckandaswamy One of the worst movie in recent times. The acting is so bad. The characters in the movie or not serious about the monster. Glad I didn't pay to watch this it is on Netflix
paulclaassen Shot in Cape Town, the film is set in a remote part of Canada. Note the color adjustment to make the sand dunes look like Arctic snow! The sand is too fine to pass as snow, though. But hey, the opening scene is so awesome, I'll forgive them for that! Its nice to see Michael Gross back for another adventure, and he's looking fine! Even though the humor gets a bit silly at times, it was still enjoyable good fun. There's some really great scenes and effects here and the film had the potential to be so much more had the unnecessary humor not gotten in the way. It could have been a suspenseful thrill ride, but heck, this is a comedy horror after all. The slow motion action scenes were AWESOME! This was amazingly well done. The third act was an incredible adrenaline pumping ride with stunning action and effects. 'Tremors 6' should have gone to theaters instead of straight to video. This is a worthy entry in the series.
spmact Just finished watching this and it's easily the worst in the series. Not by a lot, since the last one wasn't amazing, but it seems like they don't have anything new to offer. At least the last one was in a different setting.I thought it was going to be Tremors in the snow, which sounded fresh, but I guess they didn't have the budget to go to, or make the locations look like the Arctic, so they use the excuse of "global warming" to be able to shoot in South Africa and pass it off as northern Canada. Lame. After the opening sequence, which somewhat delivered on the promise of the title, you don't see any more snow and it's the same old same old we've seen in 5 movies. Just with lazier writing. The characters aren't interesting, and it uses references to the first movie to make up for it. All that does is remind us of what a good Tremors movie was like.Only hardcore fans will enjoy this. I'd advise others to stay away.
AverageJoesDriveInPodcast I like the fact that after 6 films they at least attempted to do something a little different. Honestly, it doesn't change the dynamics or what I enjoy about them. I think Jaime Kennedy & Michael Gross actually have a good chemistry. While it's not on the Fred Ward/Kevin Bacon level, there's a good rapport between them that manages to be highly entertaining. One of the only things I felt maybe lacking over some of the other films was the production value. While it doesn't look horrible it does look cheaper. The creatures don't look quite as fleshed out and at times a bit too CGI, but not so bad it ruins things. Also, a few of the supporting characters, mainly the quote-unquote bad guys were pretty wooden and really didn't add much to the overall story. They do, however, lead to a few comical moments of dialogue. You more or less know what you're getting with these movies at this movie. If you've never seen any of them, I would go back and start with the first one and work your way through. That's still the pinnacle of the series, followed closely by the second. They're goofy, schlocky fun. Something that's always made me gravitate to the films is they seem to know what they are. It's one of those things where it looks like they probably had fun making them and it shows on screen. Part 6 is no exception to that rule. So, if you're a fan of the other films in the franchise. This is worth a worth.
