Synopsis

A man awakens in a car wreck at the bottom of a steep cliff. He can't remember who he is or how he got there, but a report over the radio fills in some of the blanks, as it describes a violent bank robbery and names a perpetrator who happens to be sitting dead in the back seat.

Brian Mullaney I was in a very brutal car wreck 9 months ago that broke my arm and shattered my hip (acetabular fracture). This movie seems to imply that Adrian Brody's character had similar injuries to mine and also threw in a really busted up knee! Seeing him trapped in the car and how he played the injury to his lower body made my breath catch in my chest on a few occasions. I would say I ran through similar emotions to him while trapped in my car, and with that regard I think not only was it well acted but seemed very true to what would happen in real life. All told this was a very claustrophobic and capably done suspense film. Anyone who has suffered a severe physical trauma in any type of accident probably had the same visceral reaction that I did. The plot twists were decent, but Brody selling the scenes while trapped in the car were frighteningly good.
bcansevgisi I really enjoy watching movies in which a character has amnesia because this can add twists to even the most ordinary stories. However, this movie was an exception. I was really bored after the first 10 minutes. The reasons why I didn't like "Wrecked" is a long list but the main reasons are: the lack of decent dialogues (understandable since it's a one-man movie, but even the monologues consist of single words like "Oh" and "No"), the stupidity of Adrien Brody's character (He crawls uphill through the forest all the time with a busted knee and having no idea where he is going / burning stacks of money to keep warm at night in a forest where wood, branches and little twigs are very easy to come by), poor script writing (Adrien has the physical stamina to crawl aimlessly for days with having consumed only an ant, a worm and a couple of mint candies) Since I don't have a lot of space, I'll cut it short and will recommend this movie to anyone who has trouble sleeping because it is only good for putting its audience to sleep.
Joel T *Minor Spoilers Wrecked is a fantastic film. Don't get me wrong. However, there are many things that hold it back from being a truly magical and moving masterpiece. The movie, unfortunately suffers from a rather lethargic pacing, that, at times, reinforces the story and the struggle of Adrien Brody's character. Most often, though, the slow pace can lull the viewer into thinking that he'll never escape. For example, when he returned to his starting position, the car wreck, and it was revealed that he just went in a huge circle I wanted to lash out at the television. Perhaps this is just a instance of how the story can affect the viewer. Don't let the pace (or the bad survival skills of Brody) deter you. It's a wonderfully acted film with a captivating plot. Not a film to miss!
Greyfoot First of all I did not know a thing about the movie before got it, and as some other member who wrote a review I decided to take a well deserved nap.Needless to say despite the flick being slow in places kept me awake for the rest of the afternoon and whats more it inspired me to register to the site. Truth to be told I hate sites like IMDb or Gamessspot as I genuinely feel that they are being controlled and supported by major companies what flick or game to rate highest and which ones to flush down the toilet.Back to the movie as I said it kept me well awake, and kept me guessing to the end. I could perfectly feel the tension, desperate hopelessness and the ultimate struggling of the protagonist. As for IMDb's complete ignorance for the line under character error, saying no way Brody could have moved the way he did with broken lower leg, just type in whatever search engine you are using: crawling with broken lower leg. Yep, a 64 old man crawled out of a desert with his leg broken in numerous places after a fall of 10 feet. I rest my case. All in all, if you are into these sort of movies, where tension, character display is more important than flashy visuals then watch it, you might like it as I did.
