Paul Aninyei The first time I watched this show, I was around 12. I would occasionally watch episodes every now and then, but I never watched it in its entirety. Years later, I return as a 19 year-old college student and this show remains important, even today. It's important because its one of the few shows that portray teenagers in a realistic, funny, and gripping way. In a world where teenagers are often ignored, Degrassi the Next Generation shines the limelight on them and their stories. Whether its addressing taboo topics such as drugs, sex, peer pressure, and abuse to everyday adolescent issues like grades, crushes, parties, and romance, this amazing show touches every aspect of our lives and not only keeps me entertained, but also informed. I binged watched the entire first season in 1 day, I'm already on the second season and I show no signs of stopping. This show is a perfect 10/10

sayhey2012 Uh no this page is All Wrong!! I've been watching Degrassi from the beginning of The Next Generation... the episodes on now are not part of those series!!!!!!!! They are under different titles just like Degrassi JR High and Degrassi High School.It goes Degrassi Jr High Degrassi High Degrassi: The Next Generation Movie; Degrassi Takes Manhattan (2010) Degrassi: New Beginnings Degrassi: ShowdownThis page no offense, is a disgrace to all those who watch Degrassi. The actors and actresses are basically all different except for the few that were brothers or sisters from the ones in The Next Generation. Degrassi The Next Generation ended when; Manny, Ellie, Paige, Alex, Jimmy, Craig, Jay, Sean, Emma, JT, Liberty, Tobey, Darcy, Peter and Marco left. These characters were all the ones that we saw go through Jr. High and High School... they are the children of the adults that actually had stories on the show..they don't have stories anymore. You never hear anyone in the new Degrassi's call Principal Simpson Snake, do you?Put the new shows under a different category, or have someone who actually knows the show do this... its embarrassing. ugh.As soon as the Era changed to Degrassi: New Beginnings it isn't under the same shows.. I mean if you want to do that you might as well have started during the 1970's Degrassi's to group them altogether... but this is just all messed up.I'm giving it all a 10 for the show, but whoever did the page did a horrible job, I give you no stars.

jake-law123 This show is one of the lamest shows on TV. I realize the concept, and its not the least bit interesting. High school is not that f****d up for one thing. And another thing, its just simply retarded. I watched five episodes, all dealing with the same worthless bulls**t. Nothing about this show fascinates me the least bit. It involves bullies, homos, lesbians, and trannies.Give me a break will ya, no high school is that intense, no matter what. But other than that, it just sucks. Simple as that. I tried to like it, but I failed miserably. There's nothing in this show that can be useful to us, let alone entertain us.Although some of my friends like this school, I just don't get it. Maybe its a some people do, some don't, but as for me, it sucks!
