He likes to sleep late, he's messy, his grades are not good, he's frequently in detention and he seems to take nothing seriously. But he is serious about finding something of his own that he can do to put himself on a par with the rest of his overachieving family. Though he and Ren occasionally soften their attitudes toward each other, at any given moment the're likely to be fighting like mongoose and cobra.

bkoganbing Shia LaBoeuf was the star of Even Stevens about a family named Stevens from Sacramento, California where the mother was a State Senator no less. Mom was played by Donna Pescow and her husband Tom Virtue made a good living as a lawyer. They had three kids. Son Nick Spano was a jock, not all that much upstairs but with his athletic abilities unless he got injured would never have to worry where the next meal was coming from. Daughter Christy Carlson Romano was an academic whiz also beautiful and popular. No doubt she was going to be the family winner. But the youngest was LaBoeuf, a screw up in every way. You kind of felt bad for Louis Stevens, he must have been under great pressure in that family of winners he came from. In the end of every episode you hoped he would get it together and have a reasonably successful adulthood.Louis Stevens in a very funny but also poignant way appealed to every kid out there who felt he was shortchanged somehow. The show also had an appealing group of semi-regular characters who popped every so often in episodes. All in all it was a good family entertainment show.
loveshiaandtaylor I love this show so much i have every episode recorded of it and i watch it every day shia labeouf does an awesome job as the main character (louis stevens) and christy romano (ren) who i am obsessed with seems to the the perfect actress to play a perfect girl this show is my favorite show of all time and i give it 4 out of 4 stars and 2 thumbs up!!!
tie81289 I love Even Stevens, and I am very sorry, but I must disagree about the comment that was made about Christy's singing. I think that Christy has a wonderful voice, and that she is very talented, though I wish it was easier to hear AJ sometimes, I still think that her singing is amazing.
Sunshine14clr i love this show. i used to despise it but i've grown to adore it. louis makes me laugh because he has unique humor like none other. i'm sure there is NO family like the steven's family. kids like louis are few and far between. and ren, the "perfect"its a lot better than that crappy lizzie mcguire. here are the differences: even stevens doesn't have the paper and glue sterotypes like lizzie mcguire, the plot is ALWAYS hilarious on even stevens rather than on lizzie mcguire is just plain stupid humor if there is any at all, and it is pretty much un-predictable. i'll admit even stevens does have some mild sterotypes, but they're not as terrible as your usual sitcoms. it is beyond me why lizzie mcguire is more famous than even stevens. well enough about lizzie mcguire. most of even stevens is slap stick humor. you know, laughing at louis's dumb stunt or remarks. sure it is a little corny and cheesy at times, but we can look past that. its definitely a classic. 10 stars out of 10.
