Jay Salden Goofy was always my favourite Walt Disney Studios character, in all of the old short comic movies they did and even today with the various movie projects and TV shows that they have put Goofy in, the best they have done animation wise were those old short movies they did with Goofy and Mickey. He is the ultimate not very intelligent character with a heart of gold who always gets into huge trouble and should be killed or horrible injured after his escapades but obviously it's a cartoon for kids so he comes out of it all right every time.Goof Troop was a fantastic show that I loved and I hope it comes out again in some form.
TheLittleSongbird I have always loved Disney. Goof Troop is wonderful, and one of my favourite shows of theirs alongside Darkwing Duck, Talespin and DuckTales. The animation often has a crisp and smooth quality with the backgrounds and is also very colourful. The music is hip and cool as well with one of the most memorable theme tunes of any 90s cartoon show, the story lines always engage and the writing never fails to be hilarious, in fact I consider Goof Troop to be one of Disney's funniest shows.Wonderful characters too. Goofy is still clumsy and lovable, Max never fell into the trap of being overly-cutesy or bland and Pete is often a character you love to hate. The voice acting is consistently great, Bill Farmer has some inspired delivery as he always does and Jim Cummings's Pete adds to the long list of his best voice roles.Overall, wonderful. 10/10 Bethany Cox
MovieAddict2016 I used to watch reruns of this TV show because I enjoyed "A Goofy Movie," of which this is a spin-off. Farmer returns to the voice of Goofy and essentially this show was just about him and his son Max (who was also in "A Goofy Movie").The humor is not going to appeal to adults as much as children, although there are occasionally pop-culture references that older viewers will pick up on. There were also some celebrity cameos such as Jimmy Stewart and younger viewers most certainly would not recognize his voice.Overall if you enjoyed "A Goofy Movie" it is likely that you will like this show, also - but it is not as good or fresh as the film.
Jake Bishop If any TV Series deserves to be on DVD, then "Goof Troop" certainly does! It was done so well! So comical, witty, and action made ever, it is one of the best Disney Animated Series's ever! It is so classic and such a gas that it deserves to be. I certainly hope it does come out on DVD sooner or later. Every Cartoon-Series admirer favors this over most of the other Disney ones. Especially I do. I favor it over any other animated series you can name. I love this series, because it has a lot of slapstick and witty-joke comedy, and I love the color and sound quality of it, too. Some things that happen in it are pretty illogical, though. Like, a little bit too cartoon-like for a great animated series. Like, the way people in it sometimes run, scurry, and bang around, how fast they mantle and dismantle things, how fast they sometimes speed around corners or around roads in just a flash, and how the weather acts. Like, in one episode, it starts to rain and flood really fast. Plus, another thing is that in one episode, a couple of characters walk around with their eyes plumb shut, just after having a sleepless night, and still know where they're going without them needing to crack their eyes opened any. Many things that the characters have done in this series could have all been done just a little bit more logically. but I do love how they made all the nature in it, and drew all the characters. I love how the challenging ways all the adults treat each other are in the story. That is, Pete, Peg, and Goofy. For example, Pete is most of the time a slime-ball (mostly towards Goofy, though), and that's one reason I like him so much (for entertainment, everybody loves slime-balls up to some point). I also love Peg, because she is such a real ditz, and is very dominant, and sentimental, which I love the most about her; and even though I don't favor Goofy as high as I do Pete and Peg, Goofy is most of the time a goof-ball, mainly a kook; whom for that sake Pete always has a gas picking on and mocking, in most of the episodes. I think they all make a great pair for an animated TV Series comedy. Including all of their kids who always have to put up with most of it all the time. I am a real Goof Troop fan. I get a real kick out of it. And out of all the characters in it, I am mainly a Pete and Peg fan. What would the series be without them? They make the series even a lot more fun than just Goofy would have. I'm sure glad that it has all the cast that it does. I wonder why Peg and Pistol never existed or made any appearance in both of the Goofy Movies, such as Goofy Movie, A (1995), and Extremely Goofy Movie, An (2000). Other than just Goofy, Max, Pete, and PJ (who all were in the Goofy movies), also Peg and Pistol were such a great part of this story, too. Why eliminate them in the movies? They fitted right in with the others.
