Fantastic show; Why would anyone in their right mind cancel it after only 5 or 6 episodes? This show had a real character & feel to it; a unique dirty 'Se7en'-ish mysterious spooky vibe that was all its own. Franks journey & struggle to find out what happened to his son is something that everyone can relate to, in some form or another; thats what made the series so compelling. The soundtrack by Mark Snow (X-Files) is awsum. The acting, direction, visuals, music, story are all top notch, I don't get it. Lets be honest Haunted is 1000 times better than all the #%*@! thats on TV: ten different versions of CSI and Law & Order, New Inventors, Lost (I was Lost), Dancing With the Stars, Stars on Ice (cough ahem), Better Homes & Gardens, Home & Away, Ghost Whisperer, Ugly Betty, Smallville, etc, etc. People want a good alternative to whats already on TV - not another watered-down X-Files clone.- - If any TV or Movie executives are reading this - - - Please understand you have to give a show a chance; 5 episodes isn't enough to reach a wide audience. (Even Seinfeld & The X-Files weren't hugely popular until their 3rd or 4th Season) Judging from what I've read on blogs, forums, etc this show had a small audience but very very loyal & enthusiastic. Please Please Please release the 11 episodes on DVD & you'll see what I'm talking about. Its not too late to make a 2nd Season. Please, Please, Please consider this: Release the 11 episodes on DVD, bring back the original creators & cast (the guy who played Simon is perfect, sooo creepy); maybe do a film and/or a novel/graphic novel to kick-start more interest and create another Season (or three :)This show has already shown more than enough potential, please don't leave it as another missed opportunity. - Chino White

the producers of programme have must have really lost thier minds takin this show of tv because according to my view we looking at something that is gonna replace the x-files, pliz Fox TV you don't have to really rush to take this show off tv so soon , remember buffy the vampire slayer it neva had a big audience, when it went on, it started gettin it recognition from both the critics and fans so please if you give The Haunted another season and see whats the result, i know we really goin some where with this show. the character Frank Tyler is more like Fox Mulder there not much difference but the similarity is that both these characters have a sense of mystery and both always

I was very pleased with this show. It was scary and character driven. The stories were interesting. The ghosts -- scary. The story lines were really getting interesting, with his ex wife starting to date another man, the reoccuring sicko ghost, and his relationship with his former partner from the police force, all of this was really coming together. But it seems to have vanished from the upn line up. What happened?

I accidently caught the season premiere of this show while channel surfing and trying to recouperate from time I lost watching the season premiere of two other horrendous sitcoms. Boy, am I glad I stumbled upon this show. If the 1st episode is any indication of what's to come, then "Haunted" should deservedly earn the kind of respect and viewer loyalty that has endeared X-Files.Spoilers ahead:Matthew Fox (of Party of Five Fame) stars as private eye Frank Taylor, who's on the trail of a child kidnapper/murderer. He finally tracks him down and a rooftop battle ensues (guess who's going over the ledge eventually?). Frank is seriously stabbed by the kidnapper and blacks out. While on the operating table, Frank has an out of body experience and encounters both his missing child (who apparently was kidnapped years before) and the spirit of the kidnapper he was pursuing in the after life. He survives the operation, but over time he begins to discover that he is now susceptible to being spooked, as he is visited by spirits from beyond, including both the victims and the perpetrators. It's an interesting premise, as Frank is both "haunted" by spirits of his new-found ability as well as the memory and guilt of the loss of his own child. The show was very well-done and the acting was believable. I've always liked Mathew Fox, and I've always been surprised that he hasn't achieved the fame and recognition that some of his other Party of Five co-stars of lesser talent have achieved (Jennifer Love Hewitt, anyone?). Here's hoping he's got a better agent now.Overall, a highly suspensful show and scarier than any X-Files I've seen.
