LC was doing something wonderful in the first season, especially for the black community.
The second season has a drastically different tone regarding the use of the N-word, race-baiting and LC's philosophy on what it means to be black and what his options are. It's truly disappointing.
Tip: get back to being a inspiring and not playing a victim role narrative.

Luke Cage's first season was groundbreaking by placing a black superhero front and center. The first season attempted to tackle many of the social issues African Americans face head on with mixed results. The first season also suffered from the drop off in charisma from the villain Cottonmouth to Diamondback and the usual pacing issues of Netflix series.
Season 2 resolves the flaws of season 1 with a much more nuanced approach to social issues, a great antagonist in Bushmaster, development of Mariah, Shades, Misty Knight and even Iron Fist is rehabilitated in his cameo. The action is also better, pacing is great and from around ep 3 keeps one engaged till the end of the final episode. A great backstory is revealed and sets up season 3 tremendously.
I've rated it a 9 to counteract some of the ridiculous 1/2 star ratings. If you don't like the genre or watching black leads why bother rating it?

Weak superhero, weak plot, weak show. Follows luke cage as he goes around in circles beating up the same guys over and over again and doing nothing to stop the bad guys

Poorly written, poorly acted in almost every respect, tries to grandstand and Falls short. Marvels first flop to date. Unfortunate.
