SaddleBrooke My wife and I saw some of the re-runs on TV, and quickly became addicted to the show. Other TV favorites include Westwing, House and The Sopranos ... each different from each other, but highly recommended.McLeod's Daughters is the top-rated outback series in Australia. The series covers lots of stories about each of the characters, and includes lots of beautiful scenery of southern Australia. Having relocated from NYC, NY to Tucson, AZ about 10 years ago, we've really come to appreciate the western atmosphere and scenery. We used Netflix to view seasons 1-7 (of 8, which is not released on DVD yet).
korvexe I followed the first 3-4 seasons quiet intensively and really enjoyed the Claire/Peter/Alex and Nick/Tess/Sally intrigues together with other memorable characters like Becky, Brick and Craig. Then Stevie replaced Claire, and Dave and Kate were made regulars, and I actually started to feel a little indifferent about the series since so much changed under a short period of time. I missed main parts of season 5 before I started watching it regularly again in the start of season 6, and even if I've missed out on season 5, it was easy to catch up, and I felt myself being involved again. And I liked it :) Okay, I miss the "original" cast, but the new actors/actresses are really good replacements. It's not surprising it's one the most famous TV-series of Australia. The scenery is fantastic, the plots and intrigues are excellent, although some episodes lack the usual intensity, and it's fun to watch! Unfortunately some characters left the show (for good?) in the beginning of season 6, and there's been rumours that other main characters will disappear later on, but right now, in the middle of season 6, I love it! I just hope they manage to keep the plots and characters together, and keep it interesting and fun, the trademarks of this fantastic TV-show!
jode p (ponkey_56) As an avid viewer and borderline obsessed freak of Mcleods from the beginning I definitely love the show! At first my friend introduced me to the show and it became our favorite show, she has every episode taped and believe me she protects them with her life, but in the last few seasons the show has become less about the Drover's Girls running a cattle station than a few love triangles/ pentagons. Although i still love McLeod's they (Writters) have gone off the track a little. After the deaths of some characters, and the everlasting on/off relationships between too many characters we were becoming less and less happy with where the show was headed. But in recent episodes the writers have given back the familiar themes with a bit of excitement. I think that we are finally seeing the original Mcleods in its glory, and I'm liking what i see.
twin_soul00 Hi, I'm watching ML and I like it very much... but when I look at the IMDb.com I see that Tess is out from it 2005 and also Nick, what will happen...I really hope that the show isn't ending... It's a really good show... but i will miss Tess and Nick, I like when they talk an jokes with each other... and every one else how is leaving, like Meg and Becky... but I won't miss Liz Ryan... she's an evil thing... ;-)Here in Sweden we are waiting for Clariese baby to come... But why will Peter have the baby... I thought that he didn't know about it...
