dyak43 All I can say to the haters who have reviewed this series, " Anger Management, NOW". You sit thru 2-3 seasons and then you head explodes?? Did you do this over "Gladiator too"? It's LOOSELY based around real events, really just a setting for a teen-targeted chic-flic series. Other than "Bash" character's silly supernatural subplots (poor guy), most are interesting, can be complex, and move fast. Interesting characters, good writing for that targeted audience and it will also appeal to others who simply like good drama. For me, the political power struggles and scheming (which is 75% of this series), are done well. Certainly as well as the story of a certain blonde and her pet dragon. BTW - Americans make documentaries too, learn to distinguish.

nightroses This series has been entertaining, dark in places, beautiful costumes and great stories. There's a lot of nasty reviews on the internet because it doesn't appeal to everyone. I don't like period dramas but I love "Reign" as it's very good. Some of the episodes are haunting and mysterious. Not everyone is going to like that because they want just fighting, tits and gore. It's a complex series, not too accurate but so what. It isn't a documentary. My only disappointment was the way the series rushed the ending of Mary's life. However it's a beautiful series and moving series.

highplainsdon A motley cast in a utopian scenario about a wanna-be noble; guided from childhood according to the dictates of REAL influentials. The writer, producer and director would have been better advised to do a series on the Stuarts AFTER Elizabeth I, rather than this trollop...who lost her head. She was no where near capable of being one of England's Great Queens. Mary, Queen of Scots was the 'Valley Girl' of British royalty. But how long did this series last? 4 seasons, or something like that? I could barely stomach half of the 1st. Yet it proves my long held opinion that most people have a taste for 'crap'. I got tired of waiting for Francis to die, or for Bash to be finally and utterly ruined as he should; and I couldn't tolerate the menage a quatre of Henry what's his name. This show was more like a Maytag commercial for emotions and feelings; just toss in a Tide pod, and everything comes out clean and fresh smelling, only to stink up again immediately...over and over, time after time. SERIOUSLY?! Do they think we're that STUPID?

adelemelia Loved this series, I'm not bothered about historical accuracy etc it kept me wanting more after every episode ... but ... the ending was so abrupt and came from nowhere, all of a sudden we where 20 years later and Mary was beheaded, God only knows what happened in France with Catherine and the monarchy .... really disappointed with the ending otherwise this would have got 10 stars from me !
