Reviews

Jackson Booth-Millard Channel 4 is a channel that allows more naughty stuff than any of the other channels, this show was certainly a naughty one. The presenter of this sometimes gross adult chat show, Four-time BAFTA winning and British Comedy Award winning (also twice nominated) Graham Norton was just the perfect gay host for a good show like this. It had one or more famous celebrities in the middle of it. They basically had an adult idea which would either gross, humiliate or humour the guest, but some are not for the faint-hearted. They had women playing the recorder with their parts, men using their dicks to play a xylophone, women weeing upwards in the bath, men with or without pants under their kilts, and many more gross but hilarious ideas. This is just for adults, but enjoy it! It won the BAFTA twice for Best Entertainment (Programme or Series), it won the British Comedy Awards for Best Comedy Entertainment Programme (also nominated), Best Comedy Talk Show, it won an Emmy for episode #18 (?), and it won the National Television Awards twice for Most Popular Talk Show. It was number 52 on The 100 Greatest Funny Moments. Very good!
Adina-3 I am American, and Graham Norton does NOT stink - he's fabulous! That most of the comments here are from abroad is much more likely due more to the fact that Graham is only available in the States if one has a subscription to BBC America, which is only available from digital cable or satellite. In England, he's on regular TV/cable.Graham is hysterical. You can't help but love him. His show is all about him, not his guests, and it's only the American celebrity guests who have never watched his show that have a problem with it, if they do at all. I've never seen a guest be unhappy or upset that they didn't get to "sell" themselves they way they can if they go on Oprah. He's just having fun with his guest and his audience, and that's what it's all about. And I wouldn't compare his show to the likes of Jerry Springer - Grahams show is very smart and no one is judging anyone. It's just a celebration of the weird and funny things people do.*slight spoiler below* My favorite episode was when Graham had Jerry Hall (the model and ex-wife of Mick Jagger) who is originally from the Dallas area. Graham always does web searches on his guests to find interesting and potentially embarrassing things to show on his show. For Jerry, he found a website for a hair salon near Dallas that had photos of the salon owner with various celebrities, including Hall herself. Not surprisingly, we learn that she has never been to his salon and that her mom probably sent him a photo. So, Graham decides to call the salon owner and pretend that his show is coming to Dallas and he is looking for local celebrities. It was REALLY funny to hear this guy go on about how Jerry comes in every few months and how she likes her hair done, and then for Graham to tell him how interesting that is because he's filming live right now and Jerry is sitting right next to him. There was ::DEAD SILENCE:: on the other end of the phone, and then an expletive (as in "darn")... the audience was just roaring, and that is typical Graham Norton and why I watch him every night. Long Live Graham!
TheSausageKingOfChicago So Graham Norton is the most funnest talk show ive seen. I just started watching it on BBC America and its the best!! The stand up Sit Down is so dammn funny. Graham interacts more with the people then with the stars that come on his show which i love, other shows love to gives like 1hr to celebs and we have to listen to them talk about how crappy there life is and how much money they make..which isnt the case when it comes to so graham norton. and we lve betty too!!! they get away with saying things you could never hear on late night in america. 10 out of 10!!!
DWaterson Graham Norton, the not-very-famous (yet) camp, gay, actor/interviewer presents his own chat-show in his inimitable style. Recently he has interviewed top stars such as Ursula Andress, Grace Jones, Billy Zane, and, most famous of all, Joan Collins, who have all taken the saucy style of interview (with slots such as "Celebrity Swearing" and "Audience Confessions") in their stride, with only slightly red faces. The most famous of the segments on the show is the "phoning up" part, where Graham has celebrity interviewees phone porn/chat lines or pizza takeaways, encouraging them to ask the unsuspecting person on the other end of the line as rude questions as possible. The most successful of these has been the "Miles O'Keeffe" ritual humiliation, which has now become a regular slot each week on the show. Graham now insists on telephoning, live, "Tarzan, the Ape-Man" actor (with Bo Derek) every week! Have fun, and don't be too offended!
