Totally overlooked series. Would appeal to the younger crowd if they gave it a chance, but even more-so...people in their 30s. At first I was turned off with the whole cartoon/real life setting, and thought it would be stupid, but no...no no, I was wrong. This show is brilliantly hilarious. Zorn is the best.

This show punches well above its weight, and clearly from the negative responses, well above the heads of most. The writing is sharp, the humour is - in spite of its absurdity -quite nuanced and sophisticated, at times the equal of the best writing in Arrested Development or Archer. A sign of the times that a show of this quality can't make it past one season.

A lot of people wrote this show off because they watched a very funny trailer that ruined some of the best jokes in the first episode. This is like reading the plot of shawshank redemption then marking it 1 out of 10 for following the plot you just read.I seen other complaints that the show contains intermittent laughs. So a funny comedy is something to complain about for critics.Son of zorn is what happens when fantasy smashes into reality. Zorn is an aggressive anti-hero. He is an alpha male given free reign to say and do whatever comes into his testosterone filled head. He comes from a fantasy world but is living in ours, and the people in our world accept him for what he is (mostly). This allows the show to go many places, and so far they have touched on many issues. The show closest to this show would be American Dad, the alpha male dad and his family. However son of zorn has an extra edge, in that it allows us to see fantasy interacting with reality.Great show, contains intermittent laughs, smiles and one or two proper laughs a show. Hopefully it gets a fair run, and doesn't get canceled because some people spoiled the first episode on themselves then threw all their toys out of their pram without giving it a go.

Son of Zorn is garbage. It's as bad, or worse, then Last Man On Earth. Really ruined Animation Domination on Sunday nights. At least they moved Brooklyn Nine-Nine, yuck. I'd rather watch Cleveland Brown then this batch of "new" shows. They are poorly written by hack actors/writers who go childish when they can think of nothing else. I mean stupid, sophomoric, idiotic but not funny skits. Really, is there no one else with ideas for GOOD animated cartoons? Is this the result of who knows who or nepotism? If so it's sad that so many good shows get cancelled and the crap keeps on spewing, as Stewie might say. Why were American Dad and Bordertown dropped? Stop trying to make Fox Sunday night a wasteland like the other networks.
