I started watching Eva Longoria's new show Telenovela when it played on TV for the preview episodes and now I never miss an episode this show is so funny and makes me and my whole family laugh every week when we watch it. Each episodes has a different story but always has the same main characters in it. I find each episodes keeps getting more funny every week and I think I'm going to buy it on iTunes or something so I can have all the episodes. This is a great new show and I think everyone should start to watch it every week on Mondays at 8:30pm. I really do hope that NBC renews this show for a second season because so many people I know like watching it every week. I rate Telenovela 10 out of 10 stars.

I remember years ago when the hot and sexy Eva Longoria was on the hit night soap "Desperate Housewives" as a sexy colored bra wearing self centered wife who cheated on her husband who caused trouble. And it was a pleasure to watch her! Now she returns with this Spanish like soap "Telenovela" and it's real funny and tries to be a catch with the witty and smart lines! Eva is Ana a soap actress who's trying to make her way after a break up and it's an adventure to deal with the other cast members every episode as it's about finding love and friendship while contending with off and on the set drama. And it's a tease of laughs and sex appeal as Ana dresses very sexy a real eye candy treat! Anyone should know anything with Eva Longoria in it should be a watch she's so sexy!

I watched the first couple of episodes of this one. It's a very silly sitcom about life on the set of a telenovel series, with Eva Longoria as the shallow but well-meaning star dealing with the jealous ex-star and a host of insecure actors. The comedy is very broad, with pratfalls and sex jokes and punchlines underlined and bolded, but it's often quite funny, and I certainly laughed out loud a number of times in each episode. It's also very dumb and silly. Not smart-dumb, like Brooklyn 99, but straight-out, old-school mindless dumb. If there weren't so many other comedy series I like better (Brooklyn 99, Simpsons, The Grinder, Morty and Rick, Life in Pieces, Inside Amy Schumer, etc.) I would keep watching it, but there's only so much time in the day and it's a bit too dumb for me to fully enjoy, so I'll leave this one alone. But it is funny.

It's a funny coincidence that I am currently rewatching Desperate Housewives (I'm now on season 4) and I stumbled upon the pilot of this show. When it began, who do I see but Gabrielle Solis acting like how Gabrielle Solis would act if she were given her own show. The Good:Eva Longoria has great comedic timing. I really enjoyed the nice shots of the sets (clean, bright, colorful, etc.) There are some very laugh out loud moments (Don't look at me, I'm a monster LOL) Zachary Levi speaking Spanish? Yes please. The Bad:A bit predictable? You could only do so much with the plot. While it has a sort of campy charm, they overdid it a bit with the camp. Toning it down will help in making this show more digestible. All things considered, I'd watch it again. Hope it improves though.
