Jitendra Kotai This movie is way ahead of its times. This generation is flawed but it is not accepting its flaws. This film depicts reality of mindsets in today's tinder generation. You swipe right and whoop it is a date. The major problem is acceptance. we are all wearing masks of being self righteous and pure. And the alter ego ends up committing heinous crimes. Befikre will have a cult following in the future. The film has excellent music and is very entertaining
Takethispunch Set in Paris, Befikre begins with a nasty fight between Dharam (Ranveer Singh) and Shyra (Vaani Kapoor) which leads to a sudden break-up in the opening scene; and Shyra packs her bag and leaves Dharam. She decides to go to her parent's house and asks them to let her in without asking any questions about her ex-boyfriend, Dharam. Dharam hails from Karol Bagh, New Delhi, and is a stand-up comedian working in his friend, Mehra's (Aru Krishansh Verma) doomed restaurant where he mocks about people being in relationships and the single bachelors. The film travels back in time when Dharam came to the French capital in search of work and adventure. To his surprise, he shares his room with a girl who is a lesbian. Mehra takes him to a party where he hooks-up with the fun-loving Shyra, a tourist guide, who is an Indian by origin and French by nature. Instantly, they dance and get intimate with each other. Dharam asks Shyra out on a date when she dares him to slap a police officer. Thereafter, they keep giving crazy dares to each other.
sourav das An excellent treatment, each scene of the movie is crafted with so much care that I was astonished to see how could it be done.I have seen some of Aditya Chopra's films before and all have a touch of class, but the way we see before is entirely a different ball game.Ranveer Kapoor has maintained his usual flamboyancy as dharma in the film and newcomer vain Kapoor as Syria is equally stunning.the scenes at Paris will take you also to Paris, the ultimate place for so,many the jokes share at the movie was so humorous after the movie everyone wants to be like dharma in their real life a very well crafted style of characterization can be seen in this movie The romance is a visual delight, the ending was expected but what made Befikre best was the treatment.Hats off to this movie.
Andre Santhumayor BEFIKRE is a rom-com directed by Aditya Chopra, starring Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor. The film revolves around the relationship of Dharam (Singh) and Shyra (Kapoor) in the city of Paris. The main problem this film does possess is the fact that it is hemmed by a director who made an Indian classic (DDLJ), hence people are naturally expecting a lot. However, that being said, this film is a good entertainer. Yes, it does have an extremely predictable storyline and many people might be a bit annoyed with the physical affection, but I do appreciate the western outlook to rather Indian storyline. Aditya Chopra has definitely experimented on something and all due credit where it is deserved. The film tries to keep it breezy. Beware, the film doesn't weigh in much on a story, but Ranveer Singh's acting does manage to keep the film afloat. His sheer charisma and energy elevates the dialogues as well. Vaani Kapoor does quite a good job, but it doesn't match up to her co-star. All the other supporting cast do a great job as well. However, the music in this film is superb, in my opinion. Composed by Vishal and Shekhar, the soundtrack manage to elevate the film as well. The background score is great as well.In conclusion, don't go into this one expecting too much. Befikre is slightly ambitious, but it manages to entertain. The second half tends to drag for a bit long, and there is this extremely 'bad comedy ending' to it. But excluding those, Befikre makes for a fun timepass.BEFIKRE- 5/10
