cmellors10-481-722404 To get straight to the point just please don't watch this film. I know you read see this on reviews a lot but this genuinely is the worst film I've ever seen! Normally I can tolerate a bad film as I can understand that the writers had an idea and unfortunately it hasn't worked out as they had planned. In the case of this film there can't of been a plan. The plot has no structure (or actual point), script is all but non existent and the acting is shocking. I decided to watch this one Saturday night as it was a new title with an on demand service and I really wish I could have my time back. I didn't want to just write a negative review but attempting to find a positive from this showing, for me, is impossible. My advice if you're really looking to kill time is to go find a wall of wet paint and watch it dry. I promise it will be more entertaining
bluetd5 The only people to find this funny must be ten year olds on crack cocaine. Seriously, this film just isn't funny in any way shape or form. I was hoping for a snatch type film, all I got was tripe with a load of amateurs running about like headless chickens. The plot was non existent, the acting was terrible, proof of why some of the actors can only get work on Eastenders. This film was a waste of electricity, time and effort, I'd rather stick needles under my finger nails than watch this film for more than ten minutes. Believe me, it gets no better after 10 minutes or an hour! The best bit of the film was when I switched it off! I really wanted this British film to be of a high standard, it wasn't, far, far from it.
joe-lakey4 This has got to be the funniest film I have seen in ages, it is totally different from anything I have ever seen, it's absolutely mad! I couldn't believe some of the outrageous scenes especially the one with Bulla's Guru played by Steven Berkoff. I have already watched this film twice as there is so much I missed the first time, and I found it even funnier the second time round! I will definitely be recommending this film to friends as I'm sure they will thoroughly enjoy it as much as I have. There is a great cast with some very unexpected names cropping up, Derek Acorah plays a great part as does the brilliant Rufus Hound. This film is totally bonkers but absolutely brilliant!
peter-john-riches It seems like this film is getting a lot of flack from critics, so thought I'd come on here and set the record straight. If you want a film that is deep, thought provoking, post-modern and reflective of British Cinema; don't bother. If however, you want 90 minutes of laughter and chaos then this is the film for you. With a stellar cast and amazing music soundtrack, Big Fat Gypsy Gangster has given comedy a kick up the backside and finally provided us with a film that is funny. None of this laughing under your breath maybe once or twice in the whole film, this will have you in stitches throughout.I wish some of these critics would give this comedy credit for what it actually is: a really funny film. The makers have made something that's hilarious, so there's no need to over analyse it.I can't think of one film in recent years that has made me laugh like this one. Yes, there are flaws in the script and blah blah blah but to put it simply, this is a gangster comedy and Big Fat Gypsy Gangster does what it says on the tin! Job Done.
