celestekent We've all seen indie films shot on a meager budget, or even complete failures due to an inadequate budget, but this film got the greatest possible bang for every buck of budget I can imagine.Plot and character melded well and if you don't ask too many questions, it holds together for a great ride. Yes in fact there are no questions and answers about Time travel so to speak, much less frequently asked questions.Chris O'Dowd, Marc Wootton, Dean Lennox Kelly all worked the action well and Anna Faris and Meredith MacNeil kept the mood light and the plot roiling This is definitely a keeper
Fortune_Sparkles This is a fun, entertaining movie not to be taken to seriously. It was very entertaining. A comedic take on time travel. I ran across it on Amazon Prime and it had a four star rating so I thought I'd give it a shot. Three average guys are in a pub, one of who just got fired; they are SciFi buffs talking about time travel end up wrapped up in a time travel debacle. I would not call it hilarious but it was fun. It's in the same Genre as Galaxy Quest. A light hearted romp through the SciFi time travel zone.Anna Faris plays in it. We all know and love her from the Scary Movies. She plays a small part but important to the movie. I really liked the Giant ant they threw in.
itamarscomix FAQ About Time Travel has that unique charm of a very low-budget film made by people truly committed to the subject matter. It's obvious that this is not a studio-conceived film made to cash in on current trends or appeal to a wide audience; this is a film made by nerds for nerds - or "imagineers". In contrast to the hit show "The Big Bang Theory" which is devoted to portraying fans of science fiction and science enthusiasts as socially inept, borderline autistic, insufferable jerks, for the entertainment of the general public, FAQ presents these people in a much more realistic and affectionate light, and the film is really enjoyable for anyone who has been called a nerd by society. It shoots references to science fiction film and literature, twisting and playing with ideas explored in the genre many times before, and so its appeal is probably limited to fans of the genre, but for them it's highly recommended.
cmbzurz Yes, ten! This will likely go down as one of my "classics". Great special effects? no. Geat acting? Well, it's not Hamlet, is it? Likable characters, interesting concept, funny ( in a "yes, I'm a bit of a nerd, but you are a judgmental asshole you ignorant bastard" kind of way)? YES! Look... You either like it or you don't. hold on a sec.... (Sip's wine....) It doesn't expect anything. It's clever but doesn't act like it is. I enjoyed it. Anyone fancy a pint and some crisps? (spoiler alert) In the future, everyone is American. Chris Dowd's character and Anna Faris' character have sex MANY times ( but thankfully it's not shown in the movie). I think you'll like it if you are smart and not conceited. We know who we are don't we? ( did that sound conceited? Oh well.). ;)
