Claudio Carvalho The messy, mediocre and racy "Hell Ride" is unfortunately a great deception. Indeed is a poor attempt to imitate Guy Ritchie and Quentin Tarantino styles, or a tribute to these directors that completely fails. The violence and nudity are free and gross in a quite senseless screenplay of a war between rival gangs of outlaws in California. The characters are unlikable and the attractive art of the DVD cover is maybe the best this film can offer on DVD. The most incredible is that Quentin Tarantino is the executive producer of this terrible flick. My vote is one.Title (Brazil): Not Available
bbickley13-921-58664 Proving that not everything that has the tag of Quentin Tarantino on it is good was Hell Ride. When I saw the poster at my local movie theater ages ago, I was so bummed that I missed it at the theaters, but now that I saw it...I'll give it credit for the large amount of pointless nudity in it. The movie has a nice smorgasbord of eye candy.Micheal Madsen rocks as a biker wearing a tux, that was unique I'll give you that, and although having such counter culture icons as Dennis Hopper and David Carradine carry your picture was a great idea, there has to be more picture to carry. If there is a story I did not get it. The movie plays out more as a series of events that don't link together no where near as good as if Tarantino helmed the director's chair himself.Because of Tarantino's attachment to this movie I feel kinda lame about not getting it. I don't recall any of the late 60s early 70's biker films writer and director and star Larry Bishop was in, and if this movie authentically pays homage to that, I'm not interested in seeing them.In all fairness,if this movie was really that good it would not matter what genre it pays homage to, but it's not. I didn't get it. The only thing I got was the nudity, and that was not enough (it should be but it wasn't).
James Bond Peewee Herman is back, as the leader of a 1% motorcyle gang, set on revenge for the death of the previous leader. This movie was not half bad, if you bought this like I did because it has some decent babes. Was reading the content advisory, and it said graphic nudity, and I said OK Im sold. I was not disappointed, there is full frontal nudity, lots of t and a, camel toe, nude jello wrestling, etc. This was pretty close to being NC-17, but they edited enough to give it an R rating. The bedroom scene with the filipina girl is pretty hot.As far as the acting and storyline, it pretty much sucks. Although I found this movie to be rather comical, if thats what they were going for. Dennis Hopper and Vinnie Jones, almost save this movie from the hands of some not so great actors (Eric Balfour and Larry Bishop) Overall, if you want to see nice bikes, babes, and booze, then this movie is for you!
chow913 Aptly Named Make no mistake that EVERY last second of this film is nails on a chalkboard! I like biker actions movies and 'Hellride' boasts an impressive cast including Michael Madsen, David Carradine, Dennis Hopper and more. But 'Hellride' is devoid of ANY redeeming values. It's a mere 'Kill Bill' rip off. And a bad one at that. Don't even give this film a chance. It goes nowhere slowly. There's nothing more to say but IMDb requires at least ten lines. Here's the eleventh line.
