hellraiser7 Warning do not read unless seen episode. This is the start in one of my favorite arcs in the franchise. As the words from an old 80's song go "There's no easy way out!" We see that the rangers have let themselves become lazy, as they've been misusing their magic lately, using it as almost the answer to everything instead of what it should be an ally/tool. Though I'll admit one good thing about it is when a few of the team members create pizzas with the magic which could be handy if I ever need emergency rations or just the mere fact I can't find a pizza place miles away. But other than that, what their doing spells bad karma which finally catches up with them.We then see Imperious had I feel a really good plan to wear down the rangers enough to steer them into a trap, by letting them fight barbarian warrior monsters one by one. I just thought this was really cool instead of fighting of a monster of the day, you have them fight off four monsters, hey the more the merrier. It's sort of plays out like the "Street Fighter" video game where after they take out one monster they then move on to the other. The fights as usual are great. Really like the fight with this Samurai monster where at first it's on the ground but then it's the zord battle. The other fight is also good as they have their really funky looking monster that uses sound waves as an offensive weapon, that fight is formatted differently where at first it's a zord battle and then it's on the ground.Despite their triumphs unfortunately it just doesn't subside their laziness as their still complaining about Genji not being used, that it would of been faster. When I heard that I thought, "What the frak are you talking about, you fought well and won, be grateful now!" What they've done may'be the hard way but it's the right way all the same and more rewarding because it was their own skill and teamwork that won the battle. It then comes down to a battle with two more monsters, one that looks like a giant bulldog and another whom is sort of a hockey masked yeti. The rangers are getting their butts kicked and this makes them resort to desperation when they keep asking Daggera to unleash Genji. Daggera we see really doesn't want to do it, still feeling that they can win without it but when things get harder, unfortunately the Rangers get impatient and desperate and so he unleashes Genji despite the fact both him and Genji have a very bad feeling about it. And that feeling is right when both monster counter attack and capture Genji. At that moment I knew things were about to get really bad, the loss of Genji was their own fault because they took the easy way out. Instead of picking themselves up and fight back all they did was once again rely on magic to bail them out. Now they've lost both their trump card and friend. The Rangers took the easy way out, but it didn't lead to salvation it lead to a dead end.Rating: 4 stars
